Newsletter feature on LinkedIn and how to use it.

Newsletter number 2

In this new release, I will share some generous and kind testimonials I received from clients along with case studies. If you keep reading by the end of the newsletter, you too will also learn the top tips of using this new feature on LinkedIn called 'Newsletters' which are different to the pre-existing articles.

Case studies and Testimonials

Bulk content for busy mortgage brokers

I want to acknowledge and give a shout out to Jon Halbert from Key Financial Associates who has worked with us to create 3 months worth of content in 3 hours!!

Jon came to the recording studio and walked away with 10 brand new videos all professionally scripted, recorded and edited for him.

This makes it super easy for busy mortgage brokers to spend just a short amount of time creating bulk content rather than trying to find time on a daily basis.

Here is what he says:

Now Jon can post 1 video per week for the next 10 weeks until he needs to record a new set of videos.

Fill your diary with appointments from LinkedIn

This 24/7 networking site is underused.

There are three types of people on LinkedIn.

  1. The lurker: watches everyone else, never posts, and never engages with content.
  2. The spammer. Overuses it in the wrong way.
  3. The professional. Actually uses the site to build relationships, share knowledge, and add value.

Here are 2 professionals I have had the pleasure to work with. Lyndsay and Glenn. They are specialist lending packagers looking for landlords and property developers.

Have a listen to what they have to say... They said I am magical??? Their words not mine ??????????????

I have spent 6 weeks with TBK Specialist Finance overall but they already were blown away by the 3rd week. Lyndsay says "Next week I have a f2f meeting every single day just from LinkedIn".

That's an impressive 7 meetings for the week just from using my LinkedIn tactics.

Mortgage leads through video content

Paul is by far one of the busiest mortgage brokers I know. However, he was willing and determined to MAKE time to make his social media presence work.

He outsourced some tasks to me but had to keep just a few to himself because they would work better. I.e video content on TikTok for example is better coming from the broker themselves and not the social media manager. It needs to be personal and in your own style.

In this video Paul explain how he got 5 mortgage leads off the back of a 60 second video!!

This was Paul's first ever video and he smashed it -->

Here is what I did to help:

  1. Created a strategy for Paul so that he could use social media with a purpose
  2. Shared my tactics and lead gen hacks
  3. Scripted his videos and gave him the big picture vision. I designed a video campaign for him
  4. Gave Paul lots of content ideas that he could implement
  5. Gave Paul some coaching on how best to do a video. How to record. How to edit on TikTok.

What I have learned so far from the Newsletter feature on LinkedIn

  1. I gained over 1,000 followers overnight since releasing the first edition. People have been responding to this well and kindly subscribed too it.
  2. Create your first newsletter and surprise yourself with how many people are keen to support you.
  3. You have to turn on Creator Mode from the dashboard on your landing page
  4. Give your newsletter a title. Please note, you want a title you can keep because it's not ideal to go back and change the name of your newsletter later because they will confuse your subscribers.
  5. Keep the theme of the newsletter the same. Your subscribers will want to see consistency.
  6. Add images to your text
  7. Vary it up in terms of length. Don't make all your newsletters 2000 words long. Keep some at 500 or 700 words.
  8. Best reading time is between 3 and 4 minutes. Some articles and newsletters are a 9 minute read. I have been guilty of that before...
  9. Have call to actions. For the financial services people out there, that does not mean you sell to people and ask them to book in. I know you need to stay compliant so get creative with your CTA. There are plenty of CTA. I.e 'follow my page'. 'Click on the link below and watch the video.'
  10. Difference between article and newsletter: When you publish an article, your connections only discover it by scrolling through their feed.?

When you publish a newsletter, your subscribers get notified, which increases the chances of people seeing and consuming your content.

So there you have it. An instant, quick, and easy engagement tactic you could try today with your followers. Stay front of mind. Add value.
