NEWSLETTER EDITION #118

NEWSLETTER EDITION #118

Given that the winter holiday season is here, we're sharing some of our favorite new and old things.

Our most favorite things are people: our designers, customers and creative community. I am grateful that many designers and creatives were able to purchase again in 2022. Thank you for choosing Patricia Nugent Textiles as a trusted resource for beautiful, old art and textiles.

I can say without a doubt that we would not be here looking forward to a vibrant 2023 without your support. Everyone in our studio wishes everyone in your studio the best that the winter holidays offer.?

These wool challis woodblock prints are circa 1860-1880. Two are yardage and the large scale paisley is from the border of a paisley shawl. We see these used for winter holiday décor like upholstery and cushion covers. They would be beautiful paired with traditional tartans. Printed paisley shawls make gorgeous tablecloths for holiday décor and are especially pretty with blue Delftware dishes.

Damask in all of its iterations are favorites in the archive. The ornate textiles here are from the late 19th century. One is woven silk damask and the other is printed cotton to look like woven damask. The red ground painting is lovely for many uses. We'd like to see it printed for tabletop then paired with traditional tartans in red, royal and with a touch of forest green and gold.?
