Solvoz Wins Best Innovation Prize: The Hague Innovator of 2024

For those that have missed our messages over the last weeks, we are still excited to announce that Solvoz has been awarded the Best Innovation Prize as The Hague Innovator of 2024 at #ImpactFest, the flagship event of ImpactCity . This prestigious award, announced by Alderman Saskia Bruines , recognizes Solvoz’s groundbreaking approach to creating a global, transparent, and fair marketplace that supports humanitarian and development aid, health, and impact organizations worldwide.

The jury praised Solvoz for its vision, dedication, and innovative solutions to critical global issues. Solvoz was born from a vision to recreate the “yellow pages” for a new era—digitally connecting local suppliers with the organizations that need them. This approach bridges demand and supply across regions and sectors, strengthening local economies and empowering communities.

“Solvoz is a true impact startup that we, as The Hague, can be proud of. With their innovative procurement system for NGOs, they empower local companies to compete fairly for tenders. With impact at its core and technology as an enabler, Solvoz with Claire is, as we call it at Unknown Group, a founder that fixes the future. As a jury member, I was delighted to select Solvoz as the winner of The Hague Innovators Challenge,” said Martin Luxemburg, Director Public and Partnerships at Unknown Campus Group.

This recognition from The Hague Innovators Challenge highlights Solvoz’s dedication to creating lasting change and transforming how aid and healthcare sectors operate.

“Winning this award here, in The Hague—the city that sparked our journey—reinforces our commitment to support organizations globally, increase efficiencies in our sectors, and build resilient, connected economies through technology and collaboration,” said Claire Barnhoorn

Forthcoming: Logistic Service Platform and Templates

Solvoz, in partnership with HELP Logistics is soon implementing its groundbreaking new logistics service wizard and templates. This innovative tool is designed to streamline the process of creating and managing RFQs (Request for Quotations) for aid agencies and logistics service providers (LSPs). By simplifying and standardizing the RFQ process, the logistics service wizard will significantly enhance efficiency and transparency in humanitarian logistics operations.

The logistics service wizard allows technical experts to develop comprehensive templates that aid agencies can use to specify their service needs accurately. These templates include detailed forms to describe the required services, supplier bid requirements, and quotation formats. Once created, these templates are published to a wizard library, making them accessible to all users. This approach not only speeds up the RFQ creation process but also ensures consistency and compliance with procurement standards across different organizations.

Key innovations of this model include the ability for inter-agency groups or sector-specific bodies to rapidly define service requirements and LSP responses. The wizard supports multiple market options, from logistic cluster multi-agency collaborations to organization-specific operations. By promoting knowledge sharing and collaboration, the logistics service wizard empowers humanitarian actors to respond more effectively to crises, ensuring timely and secure delivery of essential goods.

Stay tuned for more updates as we roll out this exciting new tool early next year and continue to enhance our support for humanitarian logistics. Want to learn more already, please send us a message!
