The 2024 UCI Mountain Bike Eliminator World Championships in Aalen, Germany are already 27 days behind us, but we’re still vibing from all the emotions we experienced. The incredible enthusiasm of all the fans in the packed streets of Aalen, the sheer joy of athletes realizing dreams they have been chasing for years, and the deep friendships in the City Mountainbike family have given us priceless memories again! At the end of a thrilling day of racing, defending UCI World Champion Gaia Tormena from Italy made history by conquering her fifth world title. In the men’s category, Jeroen van Eck from The Netherlands made a successful comeback to eliminator racing, finally getting his hands on his first-ever rainbow jersey. In the allocation process for the 2024 UEC Eliminator European Championships, planned for the end of the ongoing season, we eagerly anticipate the final decisions of the local organizing committee and the local politics of our projected host city.

After a 2-month break, it’s time to continue the 2024 UCI Mountain Bike Eliminator World Cup! Round 6 of 8, scheduled for Sunday, August 18, will bring us back to Brazil for the first time since 2018. We’re proud to race in the metropolis of S?o Paulo during Shimano Fest, the largest bike festival in Latin America! The stage setting in S?o Paulo will be impressive: racing will happen near the Memorial da América Latina, a monument designed by the famous architect Oscar Niemeyer. The riders will face an interesting mix of natural and artificial obstacles during their races: a ramp and a curve for example, but also a challenging tree roots section! ?

Double UCI World Cup race winner Marcela Lima and Pan-American champion Iara Caetano – both from Brazil – will be two of the biggest crowd favorites for sure. In both the men’s and women’s categories, the battle for the win promises to be an interesting clash between experienced eliminator stars flying in and the riders from South America. Apart from Brazil, also Argentina, Colombia and Ecuador will be represented at the start line! Qualifying time-trials in S?o Paulo start at 11:00 local time (UTC-3), with the quarter-finals and live tv kicking off at 13:30. Make sure to tune in to our free, worldwide livestream on our YouTube channel in time to catch the last and most spectacular hour of racing! ?

Our partners at the Watersley Sports & Talentpark are hosting a spectacular race in the cozy streets and market square of their neighboring city of Geleen. The battles for the win will be fast and furious, with a stairs section and some temporary obstacles to make the racing hard and technical! ?

We’re proud to present two high-quality and international start lists for Geleen. Former UCI World Champion Coline Clauzure (FRA) and UCI World Cup race winners Didi de Vries (NLD), Lorenzo Serres (FRA) and Felix Klausman (GER) are the headliners, but they will encounter some fierce competition for sure.
