Newsletter: Adapting to climate change | history of World Food Prize
Dear Friends,
Cliched but true: Getting things done in the nonprofit sector is all about partnerships. In this issue, we feature a prospective partner organization and an organizer of a forum for leaders in global food security with which we’ve been engaged for a number of years. Some of our key partners are our grantees, and we’ll be announcing two new ones on October 23. We have a public webinar coming up on November 8 “Soil-Body Connection: Impact of Agriculture on the Microbiome” with the authors of What Your Food Ate. Click here to register.? If you’re planning to attend the Borlaug Dialogue later this month, feel free to let me know if you'd like to schedule a meeting, or just stop by our table to connect with the Grow Further team. ?
Yours in a Food-Secure Future,

He passed away in 2009. His work is credited with possibly saving 1 billion people from starvation. He is the ultimate food security champion. He is also the inspiration behind the World Food Prize and the annual Norman E. Borlaug International Symposium, otherwise known as the Borlaug Dialogue.
Keeping One Step Ahead of Climate Change: ICRISAT
New innovations will be required to help smallholder farmers stay one step ahead of global warming. More than 50 years ago, agricultural scientists, governments, and philanthropic foundations mobilized to establish a special research center devoted to helping the world grow more food in arid climates. That center’s work continues to this day, but it needs help. Here we'd like to introduce you to one of our prospective partners.
