Overview

Reciprocal mentoring is when two persons help each other learn and grow.

Instead of one person regularly educating and the other regularly learning, both take turns sharing knowledge and experiences. For example, a younger might educate an older about new technology, while the older shares career advice with the younger.

This way, both persons benefit and learn from each other. It's like a partnership where everyone has something valuable to offer and receive. This kind of mentoring helps build strong structural relationships and ensures both persons grow collaborative relational structures.

Reciprocal mentoring! My mindset has changed from 'leaving' a legacy to 'living' a legacy! Our mentoring in exchange for what we can learn from the youth! Reciprocity can be so meaningful, rewarding and makes a difference!

I appreciate the mentoring I have received from my colleagues and experts in my field. I completely agree that this practice benefits both parties.
