[?? Teams ??] A lot has been happening in the last month in the world of Teams. You'll find the traditional summary on the product blog. Meeting app, new meeting types (Tawn Halls), notes in Loop,...these are just a few examples. You can find them all here: What’s New in Microsoft Teams | October 2023 - Microsoft Community Hub

You can read more about the Tawn Hall type meetings themselves here: Teams Town Hall meetings – overview – Modern Workplace.site

[?? SharePoint ??] Apparently, most of Microsoft's development forces went into Teams recently, because there was less going on in SharePoint Online. That doesn't mean that nothing was happening. You can find a full summary here: Microsoft SharePoint Roadmap Pitstop October 2023

And in the near future (i.e., later this month) there will be library templates. The mechanism known for lists is also coming to libraries:

[?? Power Apps ??] The Power Apps are also interesting. Of the new features, the most interesting are probably Low-Code Plugins no and, of course, Copilot. The list of recent news is longer. You can find the full one here: What’s new: Power Apps October 2023 Feature Update | Microsoft Power Apps. I recommend!

Low-Code Plugins are provided as part of a new package - Dataverse Accelerator. Its capabilities go beyond the plugins themselves. I strongly recommend getting interested in this solution. You can find a good introduction and description of the possibilities here: Challenge 022 | Dataverse Accelerator (powerplatformchallenge.com)

By the way, it is also worth mentioning that Adaptive Cards are already supported in ALM processes: Cards for Power Apps are now solution-aware for easier application lifecycle management (ALM) | Microsoft Power Apps

Cards are still underestimated elements of Power Platform-based solutions. It's a pity, because used well they can do wonders. Do you use them in your projects?

One of the more frequently used features in Dynamics 365 Sales ( and, in general, other modules as well), is the ability to track email communication in the context of a given record (e.g. establishing details of an offer or contract with a potential customer). The feature is as old as the world, but I don't know if you know that the same can be achieved in a "pure" Dataverse and Model-Driven App? It requires some configuration, but the whole thing is not heavily complicated, and the results are very interesting. Full instructions (in video form) can be found here: Connecting Microsoft Outlook to model-driven Power?Apps

[?? DevOps ??] Information about DevOps gets here rarely. Too rarely. Actually, in each of our projects we use Azure DevOps to manage the backlog. What is a backlog? How is it built and managed in DevOps? You will learn about it in this video:

Azure DevOps Boards - Use the Product Backlog to manage project requirements, tasks and bugs

[?? Power Automate ??] Microsoft has just released a new type of training and certification. The idea is very interesting because it focuses on practice, which is what matters most. Applied Skills, as they are referred to, is not only a good way to supplement your knowledge, but also to get certified. All online and for free. I recommend paying attention. One of the courses is dedicated to Power Automate: Create and manage automated processes by using Power Automate - Applied Skill | Microsoft Learn

The challenge itself is designed for two hours and consists of three scenarios. If you're at least a little familiar with Power Automate it probably won't take you more than 45 minutes.

An interesting case at the intersection of Power Automate and Dataverse. See how to reset the numbering of a field of type Autonumber: Reset or Change Autonumber-seed with Power Automat... - Power Platform Community (microsoft.com)
