The vacations are a time of rest, but also of change. Changes in license prices, in product names, and even NEW products. Especially the last one is unexpected and very interesting. I recommend looking in the section dedicated to Power Automate. The others are also quite good. I invite you to read ???
Worth reading?
[?? Power Platform ??] August is marked by more licensing updates for Power Platform and a simplification of pricing. In Power Apps, the "Per User" license has been renamed "Premium." That is, we have a "Power Apps Premium" license. The other licenses ("per app" and "pay-as-you-go") remain (albeit disappeared from the site). Price-wise, nothing has changed thankfully. However, "Power Automate per user" has been renamed "Power Automate Premium." In addition, there is a new license "Power Automate Process", which for $150 / month allows you to license a bot. Such a bot can be used by all employees and can take advantage of cloud flows (automatic, immediate and scheduled), business process flows, as well as Unattended desktop flows. In other words, it is a great alternative to the previous add-ons "Power Automate per flow" and "Unattended RPA". - especially since there is no imposed minimum number of licenses purchased (Power Automate per flow required a minimum purchase of 5)?
[?? Entra ??] It's already a holiday tradition. We start the news review again with Entra (formerly Azure AD). A less technical change this time, but one that will probably interest most organizations more than the features mentioned in previous weeks (great by the way). Personally, I would show it to IT and Marketing departments ?? Look: Enhanced Company Branding for Sign-in Experiences Now Generally Available - Microsoft Community Hub ?
[?? Power Automate ??]?During our course Chc? do IT! one of our more frequently repeated recommendations is to stick to the appropriate naming convention. Starting with SharePoint, then Dataverse and ending with Power Apps. Well, that's right...you mustn't stop at apps. Then there is Power Automate. Here, too, it's a good idea to keep the naming convention appropriate. You can find a good example here: Power Automate Standards: Naming Conventions (matthewdevaney.com) ?by Matthew Devaney
By the way, it is also worth mentioning the new version of the Process Mining module, which is just gaining General Available status. Worth seeing: Microsoft Power Automate Process Mining is generally available | Power Automate Blog ??
[?? OneDrive ??] This news falls into the OneDrive drawer, but it really affects all of Microsoft 365. The file sharing screen gets a new interface! This is one of those features that can always be improved. Not only does the latest version look better, but it's also more functional (e.g., granular permissions management and label support). I recommend: Feature Deep Dive: Simplified Sharing Across Microsoft 365 - Microsoft Community Hub ?
[?? Power Automate Desktop ??] A lot of important changes have recently come to the world of Power Automate Desktop. Outlook connector, direct .NET support, queues, improved selector inspector...there's a lot going on. All the new features are described here: July 2023 update of Power Automate for desktop | Power Automate Blog (microsoft.com)?
The most important news from the world of PAD, however, is something else. For the cost of the license has been heavily reduced and simplified. For the price of $15 (previously $40), we can use all the premium features of both Cloud and Desktop versions! New price list: Power Automate Pricing & Subscription Plans | Microsoft Power Automate?
[?? Power Platform ??] Out of chronicling duty, I'm still throwing in a summary of changes throughout the Power Platform from this half-year. In old-fashioned English, it will be the Microsoft Power Platform: 2023 release wave 2 plan. Documentation: Microsoft Power Platform 2023 release wave 2 plan overview | Microsoft Learn?

One of these innovations is the use of AI in the process of implementing solutions using Pipelines. More specifically, artificial intelligence can generate notes describing the solution and the changes made to it. [?? Teams ??] Interesting move. There will be a dedicated app for managing meetings in Teams (no, it's not the calendar ??). The app has caught a delay, but it should be out in the fall??
[?? Power Apps ??] Finally, I have a cool example for you of using Dataverse and Model Driven Apps. See how to build an organizational chart from pre-built platform elements:?
