Newsletter 2023 (Issue 1)

It has been an excellent start to what is shaping up to be a busy year for Drillmar Resources.

We would firstly like to offer our sincere thanks to all clients and candidates who took the time to respond to our Customer Satisfaction Survey which took place in January. We were delighted with the positive feedback we received which is vital for our efforts to continuously improve our service levels.

Our main focus this quarter has been international growth. We are presently working alongside our network of global alliance partners on various projects, as we extend our service provision into exciting new regions.

Closer to home, we have continued to build on our track record of introducing new candidates into the energy industry. Our Well Services team last month successfully ran two recruitment drives, introducing ten new oilfield trainees for our clients’ operations in Aberdeen and Great Yarmouth. We have also expanded our own offices in Aberdeenshire to accommodate our growing team.

In the HSEQ space, we recently passed recertification audits for re-award of our ISO 45001 and ISO 27001 standards, our Compliance Assessment for the Recruitment & Employment Confederation and secured the installation of a life-saving defibrillator at our offices!

It’s not been all about the work though – in-between our own events (egg-decorating, bowling, and grand national sweepstake), our thanks to the IADC for organising a fantastic night out for their 50th Anniversary Safety Awards and to OGV Energy for the chance to participate in their charity football tournament.

Our vision for 2023 is “to grow, to serve, to succeed”. The entire team, from our new apprentices to the board of directors, share this goal and we look forward to demonstrating our commitment to this across the next twelve months and beyond.

The contributions made by the Apprentices to Drillmar is invaluable. It is a very satisfying part of the job, and we are looking forward to welcoming another student in the new school year.”?– Bethan Johns, Business Support Consultant.?

Drillmar’s much-coveted Employee of the Quarter and Employee of the Year awards has returned. This quarter’s winner is Melissa Fraser, Administrator in the Well Services team. Well done!

Lee Trotter and Amanda Smith were both recognised with promotions following their annual reviews at the beginning of the year. Lee is now Senior Administrator and Amanda is Recruitment Consultant, both in Well Services. Congratulations!

We are also celebrating Kayleigh Boyd’s 10-year service award. Kayleigh started with Drillmar as an administrator and after several promotions is now a Senior Recruitment Consultant, Drilling.

?Kayleigh has demonstrated professionalism and commitment that exceeds the expected level throughout her career with Drillmar. She continues to lead by example, and we would like to offer her our sincere thanks and congratulations on this milestone.

Recruitment Consultant, Amanda Smith, delivering induction training to new trainees

Another successful Training Programme concluded with 10 new candidates who have already begun their energy careers with our Well Services clients.

Since our inception Drillmar has been recruiting and inducting new-start personnel into the industry both in the UK and internationally, via our trainee programmes and contract initiatives with clients.

Congratulations to all our 2023 intake and we look forward to working with you and following your progress over the coming years.

Quality Assured

We are pleased to announce that Drillmar has successfully passed the Recruitment & Employment Confederation (REC) Compliance Assessment.

All REC Corporate members must pass the assessment to retain its membership status. The assessment tests members’ knowledge of relevant industry legislation and the REC Code of Professional Practice.

In February, Drillmar Resources successfully completed surveillance audits of both our ISO 27001 and ISO 45001 standards. No non-conformances were raised.

?With thanks to Quensh Consultants and the British Assessment Bureau (BAB) for supporting Drillmar to ensure we can provide the best possible experience for our clients and candidates without compromising on safety and compliance.
