We are all relieved as the constant ads on all the media platforms have ended.
January 01, 2021, was the beginning of the Open Enrolment period that allowed Medicare recipients placed in the wrong plan or were not happy with their decision to change. The period concluded on March 31st.
Many are wondering what now?
If I am not happy or if I want to change, what are my options:
There is always an exception to the rule:
- Enroll in a 5 Star rating Plan
- Dual eligibles can change once a quarter (Jan-Sept)
- Moving out of the service area
- Leaving your employee cover plan
- Diagnose with a Chronic Condition
Now, many of you know someone that will be turning 65 soon. It is best to start looking at options if what they currently have is working. Six months after their 64 birthday is a great goal to start the research.
Medicare Plans are not one size fits all. Each recipient has a unique case, so speaking with a professional in the industry will be an excellent source to start understanding your options.
The consultation is complimentary, and there is no pressure on making a decision.
