Events
Spring! The new conference season is time to start. I'd like to invite you to two events we had our fingers on ??Firstly: MS Tech Summit , which will be taken on May 11-12, 2023. The first day is conducted online, the second day live (Warsaw, Koszykowa 75). This is one of the larger events of its kind, and among the many topics and tracks is Low Code/No Code!?On Friday, at 12:30 pm, I'll be leading a session there on Power Automate Desktop. By the way, I have a special discount (-30%) on the ticket for you. Note that it is valid until the end of 10th May.?
Second, just a day later, on May 13, at the headquarters of the Microsoft Polska (al. Jerozolimskie 195A), will take place CollabDays Poland 2023! The event, which our Developico is one of the sponsors. The entire event is dedicated to Microsoft solutions (from SharePoint to Power Platform to Microsoft Dynamics). The indispensable Mike Guzowski will lead one of the sessions and will be spinning on site throughout the day.?
I hope to see you there!?
Worth reading?
[?? SharePoint ??] [?? Power Automate ??] I totally didn't know which of these categories to use, so I'm adding both ?? In a year from now (April 2, 2024), classic workflows (SharePoint 2013 Workflows) will be disabled on newly created environments. I hope that in your environment such processes are not present, or have already been migrated. If this is not the case, I strongly recommend planning such a migration. An article from WodelLaur can help with this: Move SharePoint Designer Workflows to Power Automate (wonderlaura.com)?
I also recommend the official documentation: Guidance - Migrate from classic workflows to Power Automate flows in SharePoint | Microsoft Learn?

[?? Power Apps ??] Matthew Devaney on form. New week, new article, another gem ??This time a great tutorial on the Print() function. I recommend attention to: Power Apps PDF Function: Create, View & Download PDFs (matthewdevaney.com)?
We also have a new interface (we know better ??) for managing variables and collections in the Canvas editor. Just look at:?

[?? Teams ??] In recent weeks, I've written about new AI features in Teams. Now we got more details. The intelligent meeting summarization feature will also appear in the basic version. Admittedly, it will be limited, but better fish than nothing. Features:?

What’s next??
The premium version will be much better:?

[?? Power Automate ??]?By the end of the first quarter of 2024, processes built in Power Automate Desktop should be migrated to the new, higher version of the schema. The new version offers quite a few possibilities (details here: Power Automate v2 schema - Power Automate | Microsoft Learn ). The migration itself is not very intuitive, but with Tomasz Poszytek 's guide it will certainly be simpler: Upgrading Power Automate Desktop to v2 schema ? Tomasz Poszytek, Business Applications MVP?
[?? Power Platform ??] Found on Social Media. An infographic showing the Microsoft Dynamics 365 ecosystem. By force, Power Platform also caught on ?? If you have a plotter, you can even print it out: https://lnkd.in/dCdZbKZK ?
By the way, it is also worth mentioning the new comments function. It is very similar to the one already known from Office applications. It can certainly improve efficiency in a team working on an application (Canvas and/or MDA) or process. You can read more about this feature here: Streamline collaboration with the General Availability of comments in Power Apps and Power Automate | Microsoft Power Apps?
[?? Power Apps ??] Another minor but useful improvement to the Model-Driven application editor. The ability to edit a table directly from the Forms and Views editor. This will certainly reduce implementation time:?
[?? Power Platform ??]?This week I recommend two more recordings from the Microsoft Power Platform channel. The first one is dedicated to Automation Kit for Power Platform . The solution itself supports the adoption and management of processes created in Power Automate. The video itself shows the installation process of this solution:?Main Install | Automation Kit for Power Platform?
The second video shows new features of managed Power Platform environments (welcome emails, solution checker, pipelines and more). It's worth a look (although you still need premium licenses to enable them ??):?
[?? Teams ??] Finally, a little Teams easter egg ?? Give someone a virtual high-five in chat and see what happens:?
