News You Can Use - PA Stands Up Is On The Move
PA Stands Up
At PA Stands Up, we organize for power. Across race, place, and generation, we are building a PA that works for #AllOfUs
Hi friends!
It has undoubtedly been a busy month for PA Stands Up!
Last week, U.S. Senators John Fetterman and Cynthia Lummis introduced the Whole-Home Repairs Act. If picked up, this bill will establish a national pilot program based on our groundbreaking Whole-Home Repairs Program, which helps to weatherize homes and stabilize communities.?
This week, our Program Director, Pele, and PASU board member Otis traveled to Washington, D.C., to provide testimony before the Department of Energy and the White House on issues such as Whole Home Repairs, flooding in Pennsylvania, the implementation of Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) and the State and Community Energy Programs (SCEP).
We continue to advocate for the needs of working-class people and challenge the influence of wealthy corporations and corrupt billionaires. We firmly believe in the power of grassroots organizing and the collective strength of our community.
Friend, become a member, or renew your membership today! Sign up for an event or speak with your local organizer to find ways to make a difference in your community!??
When we come together, we can make a real impact. Now is the time to act!
In solidarity,?
