Lime’s record global ridership drives 45% growth in first half of 2023
Lime, the shared electric vehicle company, has unveiled new global financial and ridership figures from the first half of 2023 that demonstrate that demand for shared e-bikes and e-scooters continues to grow around the world. Lime is off to the best start of any year in its history. This record ridership stems from Lime’s growth within existing markets and into new markets, leading to higher average trips-per-vehicle-per-day and improved supply and reliability for riders. Kinetic opens latest electric bus depot in West Auckland
With this milestone, Kinetic solidifies its position as the largest operator of electric buses in New Zealand, boasting a fleet of 200 zero-emission vehicles distributed across eight depots in Auckland, Christchurch and Wellington. This milestone celebration has been marked by the introduction of 43 new zero-emission buses into Auckland’s public transportation network, a joint endeavour with Auckland Transport (AT). Read more.
First hybrid high-speed passenger ferry introduced Uber Boat by Thames Clippers in European first
The hybrid, high-speed Earth Clipper is the first of three new Uber Boat by Thames Clippers passenger ferries to operate with zero tailpipe emissions. From 12 September 2023, sightseers and commuters in London have been able to make more eco-friendly journeys. Earth Clipper, Europe’s first hybrid high-speed passenger ferry, built to the High-Speed Craft Code, and the first of three new Uber Boat by Thames Clippers passenger ferries to operate with zero tailpipe emissions in Central London, has started sailing. Malta invests €20 million in new electric buses and charging depot
The introduction of Malta Public Transport’s electric buses will significantly reduce emissions, including a 70% cut in greenhouse gases, reduced noise pollution and enhanced energy efficiency. As part of this effort, it has inaugurated its cutting-edge electric bus charging depot, as well as introduced 30 brand new, fully electric, zero-emission buses. Read more.
