An investment agreement has been signed by SBM Offshore and Ocean-Power

SBM Offshore has made an initial equity investment with the intention of becoming a minority shareholder. This decisions was made once an MoU was signed with Ocean-Power, a Norwegian company, in June 2024.

An innovative new method which has the ability to make sustainable paints has been created and commercialized by Celanese. This new method works through the use of CCUS and it converts waste emissions into renewable feedstocks.

It has been revealed that the Killingholme Low Carbon Power CCGT project is being studied by Uniper. The main focus is to determine the potential for developing this site, once the development rights have been bought.

Funding for LNG vessel CO2 capture has been provided to Value Maritime and partners

Value Maritime and their partners involved in the Maritime Efficient & Easy Carbon Capture (ME2CC) project, were recently provided with funding. This funding was provided by the Maritime Masterplan 2024 and the intention behind it, was to install carbon capture onboard a Samskip LNG vessel.

Potential to capture millions of tonnes of atmospheric carbon could be found within new material

A brand-new material has been developed and this material could become a large role when it comes to reducing carbon in the atmosphere. This material was created by Teesside and Edinburgh University and it has already shown how effective it is in comparison to traditional CO2 removal technologies, plus it costs a lot less.
