Andritz and Mets? Group will conduct their first survey with CCS requirements
A survey was recently conducted between Andritz and Mets? Group and this survey will play a key role in the carbon capture industry. The purpose of this survey was to explore ‘what the capture of 4M tonnes of CO2 from the flue gases from the Kemi bioproduct mill would mean in terms of technology and energy.’
B&W’s BrightLoop project will receive $10 million from West Virginia
The West Virginia Department of Economic Development has announced that they will be providing funding of up to $10 million to Babcock & Wilcox. This funding will be provided to the company, in order to support the development of a BrightLoop? hydrogen production and carbon capture facility.
The FEED for a CCS project in Malaysia has been started by JAPEX
It has been announced that the FFED work for the CO2 Onshore Terminal and Receiving Jetty topside of the CCS project located in Sarawak, will be started by JAPEX and JGC Corporation.
A partnership between Carbon TerraVault and Net Power has started over low carbon power
Carbon TerraVault and Net Power have created an MoU, through which the companies have agreed to plan and conduct feasibility studies around Net Power’s facilities. One focus point for this project will be to determine the proximity of Net Power’s facilities to CTV’s underground CO2 storage vaults.
Nuada and Carbfix will work together on complete CCS solution
It has been agreed that Nuada and Carbfix will collaborate in order to create an integrated CCS solution. The companies plan to do this through combining Nuada’s carbon capture technology and Carbfix’s permanent underground CO2 mineralisation method.
