We have just taken on a new Metrologist, joining a team that is recognised by employers and peers alike as a lead in knowledge transfer, training and consultancy in metrology and measurement issues.

We welcome Wayne Sadler to the team. Wayne has worked in industry for Alstom Power in Rugby and more recently Mitutoyo and Zeiss Metrology. With a strong background in applied measurement Wayne will be joining our team of trainers delivering a broad range of measurement skills and knowledge. 

Training about 500 people per year in short courses on measurement and metrology, delivering measurement and metrology skills in our undergraduate and post graduate courses to over 250 graduates per year, as well as supporting research and other university projects. We also offer metrology consultancy, Bridging applied measurement to the science within realistic business constraints, these include short advisory sessions or long term support and expertise.

Well that explains the lack of response to my email! Seriously though, congratulations Wayne, I'm looking to do some more general metrology raining for my team over the next couple of years so I'm sure our paths cross at some point.
