We are thrilled to welcome?Cristo Rey Orange County High School?as the 39th school in the Cristo Rey Network!?

?

I had the privilege of joining the Orange County team for their inaugural Draft Day. Many of our schools welcome their incoming classes by bringing together students, their families, and our corporate partners with a high-energy event we like to call Draft Day. This is a rare occasion where all three stakeholders celebrate the mission of Cristo Rey at the same time and in the same place.??

In celebration of our newest member of the Network, we have prepared a highlight reel of some of their most memorable moments during this historic first week. Prepare to be inspired and take the next 45 seconds to share in the joy of these students, their families, our corporate partners, and the faculty and staff of Cristo Rey Orange County.

It's a Wrap! | Summer Professional Development?

Over the past three months, our national office engaged school leaders and teachers in collaborative professional development offerings coast to coast to advance shared priorities across many programmatic areas, including student recruitment, Corporate Work Study, college counseling and alumni advising, and academic leadership.?

These small- and large-scale multi-day events delivered training, in-person networking, and informative workshops facilitated by subject matter and industry experts.?

We are grateful to our philanthropic partners whose generous investments helped fuel these high-impact events!

Cristo Rey Network University Partners Make History

Fairfield University,?a longstanding University Partner for the past 14 years, recently highlighted its Class of 2027 for?making university history with a record-breaking applicant pool, including five?enrolled?Cristo Rey graduates from the Class of 2023.

The?University of Notre Dame, an invested University Partner for 10 years, has enrolled the?most selective and most diverse class in school history. The Class of 2027 is comprised of 20.5% first-generation or Pell recipients, 34% identify as students of color, and 8% are international students. This year, 23 Cristo Rey students, nationwide, will be attending Notre Dame.
