News from Cottam - October 2023

In Cottam news this month, we welcomed visitors from the BIPC North East and Newcastle City Council who were photographing behind the scenes at Cottam to showcase some of the local businesses they've supported over the years. We collaborated with BIPC to develop our rapid lock system, which is now a feature of our brooms and allows the product to be developed in under 10 seconds by the end user.

Alan Crook and Susan Stewart are attending this year's Pigging Products and Services Association (PPSA) Annual Seminar, taking place this year on 15th November in Aberdeen. If you're also coming along, make sure to drop by our stand to be in with a chance of winning this limited edition, single cask Balblair Whisky!

We've got a new case study on our website, demonstrating how our brushes are used in companies across the food and drink industry. D Lane Engineering contacted us through our custom brush service to manufacture a replacement brush for a carrot cleaning machine! Read the case study here.

Talk about right place, right time! Patrick Roberts (aka 'Mini Messi') was snapped helping #SunderlandAFC to a 3-1 victory over Norwich last weekend - and we're delighted to see our branding in the background. We're supporting Sunderland football club this season as a corporate sponsor, so if you've got a photo of our branding at a match, please share with us!

We also supported another local football club this month with a donation to Newcastle United Foundation . David Douglass and his colleague are supporting a group of young people with a project at Bill Quay Community Farm, and we were pleased to help out with a donation of brooms and deck scrubs.

And finally, we wish you a Happy Halloween from all the team at Cottam - we're off to practice our broom flying skills!
