Hong Kong’s Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) has called for feedback on a plan to require virtual asset trading platform operators to acquire the same sort of licenses the territory requires securities traders to obtain. Licensing will be required beginning June 1 of this year and will be required irrespective of whether the entity provides trading services in security tokens or not.

The United States authorities have charged four co-founders of the cryptocurrency Ponzi scheme. Forsage raised around $340 million by running the decentralized finance (DeFi) investment platform. After the Platypus protocol was hacked, at least $2.4 million in USDC stablecoin was returned to the exploited platform with help from blockchain security firm BlockSec. At least $2.4 million in USDC stablecoin was returned to the exploited platform. Of the almost $9.1 million in stolen funds, the attacker could only cash out $270,000. Some $8.5 million of stolen funds are frozen in the contract they were transferred to.

Euro Coin is fully backed by euros held in a segregated account at a licensed financial institution and is audited by an external auditor on a monthly basis.
?? Hedge Fund Galois Closes After Half of Assets Trapped on FTX.
Galois Capital, which last year had been managing about $200mn in assets and was one of the biggest crypto-focused quantitative funds, told investors that it had halted all trading and unwound all its positions as it was no longer viable.
