Michel van der Most to join Swartberg as Operational Director
As of March 1, Michel van der Most joined Swartberg as Operational Director. Michel will be responsible for the day-to-day operational management of the organization and will report directly to Michael Levi (Owner and CEO)
Over the last few years Swartberg has experienced successful growth commercially, quality-wise, and technically.
Swartberg has the ambition to grow even further to maintain their strong position in the European high-quality nut-production segment. It is therefore important to further enhance the organizational structure.
Michel spent 28 years at Handelsveem, one of the largest employers in Rotterdam, in a variety of positions. Michel started his career there, and since 2005 been responsible as commercial manager for setting up and expanding their activities for both spices and (ground) nuts. In addition, Michel was also responsible/directly involved for/in setting up several production lines. Michel has played a major role in their success especially in the international expansion in the field of nuts.
With his wealth of experience and connections within the peanut/nut industry, Michel is a good addition to Swartberg. In combination with some other high-level recent hires from renowned international companies, it also shows the value of the proposition Swartberg offers the market as well as employees. We wish Michel all the best in his new role.?

New nut-frying facility completed
After less than a year of building we have completed the new facility for nut-frying and packing. The new factory-building will house all existing machines as well as create room for expansion in this field. The next few months, the existing machine-park will be moved and based on input from current/potential customers, and market demand, targeted investments in expansion of the current range as well as new lines will be made.???
Swartberg invests in a 3rd Peanut butter-line
Due to the success after the introduction of our second peanut butter-line, it is decided to invest in a new and 3rd?peanut butter production line. The new line will be fully-automated with a potential 12000 jars/hour output capacity. After an extensive search, the suppliers of the new line have been selected, and delivery is to commence in November and to be fully operational by the end of 2022. We are certain that with the acquisition of this new line we can offer our customers the quality, service and lead-times of the highest standards as well offer some product-innovations as well.?
