Features included in this release

Feature Name : Enable quality control for goods-in-transit orders

Area : Inventory and logistics

Purpose : This feature helps to initiate the quality control process for goods-in-transit orders, ensuring a heightened level of product quality throughout the goods-in-transit process. Users can monitor existing quality orders and proceed with further actions directly from the goods-in-transit order form. This integration enhances visibility and control over quality-related processes, promoting a proactive approach to maintaining and safeguarding product quality when importing goods from the Landed Cost module.


Feature Name : Link transfer order lines with sales order lines

Area : Inventory and logistics

Purpose: Easier to track the relationship between the sales and transfer orders, and helps you manage your inventory more effectively.


Feature Name : Add transactions when recalculating weighted average

Area : Inventory and logistics

Purpose: When recalculating for weighted average, users can now choose whether to include transactions that haven't yet been financially updated. This feature:

  • Adds an option for item model groups.
  • Includes transactions without financial closing.
  • Only applies during recalculations and doesn't affect inventory closing.


Feature Name : Sync external changes through Inventory Visibility

Area : Inventory and logistics

Purpose: The Inventory Visibility service for Supply Chain Management now enables external systems to synchronize, aggregate, and store cross-channel inventory transactions in the Supply Chain Management inventory adjustment journal. The system now provides the following capabilities:

  • Post inventory changes with all the information previously supported, and include additional information about the source document (such as document type and order number) and the target inventory adjustment journal. An Inventory Visibility service provides new API to support these operations.
  • Automatically store transactions in Inventory Visibility based on your API input. These transactions can be used for inventory analysis and other business purposes.
  • Set up inventory transaction aggregation rules in Inventory Visibility for synchronizing with Supply Chain Management.


Feature Name : Trace goods through the supply chain

Area : Inventory and logistics

Purpose: Supply chain traceability follows products and goods as they move through the supply chain and collects information about the provenance of inputs, supplier sourcing practices, and conversion processes. It provides the following features and benefits - Accurate tracking, As-built BOM registration, Forward and backward search ,Simplified integration.


Feature Name : Track time-series inventory in Inventory Visibility

Area : Inventory and logistics

Purpose: This feature enables the Inventory Visibility service to import information about planned inbound and outbound inventory changes together with the related dates. Available-to-promise (ATP) functionality in Inventory Visibility can then query these time-series based inventory changes and calculate your omnichannel ATP. External systems can query and retrieve this information from Inventory Visibility in near real time by calling its API.


Feature Name : Decouple production registration from time and attendance

Area : Manufacturing and asset management

Purpose: This feature makes it possible for workers to register production work using your manufacturing execution system (MES) without requiring managers to approve workers’ time registrations and adjustments. It separates the processes for manufacturing execution from the approval process for time and attendance.


Feature Name : Register time spent working on projects for production

Area : Manufacturing and asset management

Purpose: Supervisors and managers can now set up the production floor execution interface to allow workers to register time used on project activities. When a worker is ready to start on a new project, they simply select that project from a list, and the system notes the time it was started. When the worker registers their next activity (such as clocking out or starting a new project or production job), the system registers that as the end time of the previous project and updates its journal of project start and end times.


Feature Name : Approve POs and requisitions from mobile device

Area : Procurement

Purpose: The mobile app starts by presenting an overview of the user's assigned approval tasks and due dates. From there, the user can open details for each purchase requisition and purchase order to be approved, all without switching context. On gaining a full understanding of the context and details of an approval request, the user can then choose between the approval options configured for the workflow by selecting the appropriate response (approve, reject, request change, or delegate to another user).

To install the app, go to the Power Platform admin center and enable the Allow publishing of canvas apps with code components feature. Then install the Dynamics 365 Approvals Management app.


Feature Name : Outbound shipment processing policies

Area : Warehouse management

Purpose: To manage the process of shipping your orders, user must apply an outbound shipment processing policy where the desired flow is set up for your shipments.

Feature enhancements included in this release

Module: Asset management

Feature management name: (Preview) Print work order document attachments

Purpose : Lets you print work order reports that include PDF documents attached to work order headers and lines.


Module: Inventory and warehouse management

Feature management name: (Preview) Inventory dimensions with license plate id cleanup

Purpose : Adds the ability to clean up inventory dimensions with license plate IDs that are more than one year old, are financial updated, and have no on-hand inventory.


Module: Master planning

Feature management name: Enable the calculation of Batch CTP even when plan run ends with errors.

Purpose : Allows for CTP-confirmed dates to be calculated for sales order lines, even when the Planning Optimization run ends with errors. Confirmed dates will be calculated for sales order lines that didn't have any errors. To enable or disable this behavior, use the Calculate Batch CTP even with errors setting in the plan settings for the dynamic plan.


Module: Product information management

Feature management name: (Preview) Enable foreign trade parameters for all countries

Purpose : Enables foreign trade parameters for all countries.


Module: Production control

Feature management name: Add filter to hide completed jobs on the Kanban board

Purpose : Adds a Hide completed jobs checkbox to the Kanban board. The option lets you choose to hide all completed jobs, which provides a cleaner and more focused view.


Module: Procurement and sourcing

Feature management name: Choose whether to consolidate sales orders for direct deliveries

Purpose : Makes it possible to choose whether the Create direct delivery orders batch job should consolidate qualifying sales orders into a single purchase order when creating a direct delivery. You can control this behavior using the new Consolidate sales orders for direct deliveries setting on the Delivery tab of the Procurement and sourcing parameters page. When you enable this feature, the system defaults to not consolidating qualifying sales orders, which is different from the previous behavior. Previously, the batch job always consolidated qualifying sales orders.


Module: Procurement and sourcing

Feature management name: Enable purch parameters to control delivery information sync on sales and purchase orders

Purpose : Controls the creating and updating of the Delivery mode and Delivery terms fields on purchase orders. The new parameters are added for stock and direct delivery scenarios.


Module: Sales and marketing

Feature management name: Price and discount search for derived line creation

Purpose : Adds the ability to search for new prices in trade agreements for derived intercompany sales orders and sales order lines.


Module: Warehouse management

Enhancement : Container label printing improvement

Purpose: The system now allows printing of container labels when closing a container.


Module: Warehouse management

Enhancement: Container label printing improvement

Purpose: On a custom label layout data source, it is now possible to define parameters that the user can specify when printing labels. These parameters can be then used in label layouts in addition to values retrieved from table records, for example, to specify a quantity of labels to print.

Purpose: Lets the user assign default printers to specific mobile devices.
