NEWS BRIEFS FOR #UGANDA - Fri.Apr. 22, 2016

https://nangalama.blogspot.ca/2016/04/news-briefs-for-uganda-friapr-22-2016.html

1) KINKIZI FM LOCAL NEWS (Courtesy Nato K. Comrade). Seven people have been killed tonight after a soldier attached to Mburamaizi barracks opened fire with live bullets at a crowd.  According to the army spokesperson of the Kigezi region, LT Fidel Mashumbuko, Lance Corporal Moses Kyatoka killed two soldiers and five civilians. The number of the injured civilians is unknown at the moment. Lance Corporal has been working as a nurse at the barracks and he developed a misunderstanding with his wife who is also a soldier and killed her together with the soldier who had tried to intervene. While escaping, he killed more civilians whom he met on his way but after running out of bullets he decided to hand himself over to the police. Investigations are in progress.

2) The big news in Uganda yesterday was the US Embassy in Kampala not promptly giving Ruhukana Rugunda a visa to come to the US and attend the UN General Assembly. No idea why that would even come as a surprise because this man is always in the media talking like a bubble head about the wonders of the junta lead by #museveni. Not only this, he ought to be ashamed to request a visa to USA where he might even fake cancer and get into a nice hospital. FYI, for a long time, he was the Minister of Health in Uganda. Look at the ugliness he left behind. Mama mia caramba!

3) Then the leader of the Kangaroo court (aka dictator museveni's personal court martial) one Gen. Levi Karuhanga dropped dead. Apparently he had just returned from medical treatment in India when this took place. Some of you will remember him being the Chief Judge and Jury of Gen. #Sejusa upon orders from above naturally. Hey, did I say Healthcare in Uganda sucks? It does, get malaria while there and you will see. Better not be something as bad as cancer or heart issues or a bullet wound like what happened to Tumukunde (where is this one anyway?). ON THIS ONE - I WOULD LIKE ALL THE UGANDANS WHO CLAIMED THAT KARUHANGA BEING ADMITTED IN NAKASERO HOSPITAL WAS FAKERY to send mabugo for his family. At least I would have said he had a bad stomach ache but not fakery. Ankunda was in the media talking about Levi. By the way, how many 5 star generals are left in that army? What level is Ankunda? It is getting harder to identify who in that army is gonna die next. I bet Gen. Sejusa and JPAM could guess for us.

4) Anyone remember that street preacher in Kampala whose video we even have on Youtube lambasting museveni? Well, he got arrested 2 days ago, spent one night in a cooler then got released yesterday on sh. 500k bond. I stand corrected if this is not him (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A8qKAFsBGiY) or this one (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uwxKKEVsGTo). Both videos were uploaded by yours truly but since I do not live in Uganda, I do not know which one of the two is Pastor Muganzi or if either is even him.

5) Apparently Uganda will not allow any Kenyans to cross into The Peril of Africa without a certificate showing immunizatiion against yellow fever. Talk about EAC integration. We are pushing this childish fight one notch up. Are Kenyans the only ones who are infested with yellow fever? I bet if we do rounds in those awful hospitals in Uganda we could find many Ugandans with it too. On the other hand by the way, it might be because they want to protect visitors from catching the diseases which kill Ugandans on a daily basis. NOTE to self...check immunization cards. By the way, many were denied at the Busia border crossing into Uganda. No idea why they did not go via Lwakhakha.

6) Now look at these jokers.. The civil society activists have asked dictator museveni not to sign the tax ammendment bill which exempts all MPs from paying taxes. OMG.. even my kid can see how this will turn out (the little one, she is cynical like me). These people, when we have real human rights abuses, they shut up. Now we have what joys the pigs and civil society comes to talk. I will believe in their sincerity if they go to parliament and strip naked, you know..topless.

7) May 18th was set as the day for judgement delivery in the 2010 Kampala bombings which killed 78+ people. I am not holding my breath because some poor suckers are going to do jail time, vanish out of the limelight and likely be released in the middle of the night while Ugandans are enjoying the sleep which museveni and kayihura brought them. This story is 2 - 3 days old and I did not report on it promptly till I re-read some of Span's articles last night. By the way, my blog keeps most of all of Span's writing.

8) Well well... Uganda High Court has given the government the right to file FRESH evidence against Gen. Sejusa on the issue of his retirement. Don't these people have real problems to work on? For example the current on going daily killings of Ugandans by bullets, infesting them with cancer chemicals (read tear gas), fixing the rotting hospitals, feeding 10 million hungry, potholes, the fish ponds around Kampala, the schools under mango trees. Damn! I hate that country.

9) Some joker from the Ministry of Water and Environment says he has a vision to transform Uganda into an efficient and prosperous country. Only problem is he has been doing so for the last 30yrs and he is a freaking engineer! Do they not teach Critical Thinking and Logic in those universities? How about the places in Uganda whose water gets cut off and all the hospitals with no water? Totumalira budde musilu gwe.

10) Ogoola is in the media saying that the 2016 tested the government on press freedom. AND all this time I thought this gentleman was a genius. Really? 2016 elections showed you that? Which planet has he been living on? By the way, some guy from the monitor is in trouble over a story he wrote regarding the Kasese killings. No idea why because we have the videos on youtube. Check out my youtube channel (same names).

11) As expected, the EU election observers' report slammed the government and the EC. You can see it at this link: https://eeas.europa.eu/eueom/missions/2016/uganda/index_en.htm

12) Did you people know that the army and military police have never been persecuted for the killings of the 2011 Walk to Work? Uganda media says 9 people died but we know better. Pole sana.

Now you are up todate.
