News Brief: Cozy Cash and AI

Local artist Kevin Cannon has designed the new Cozy Cash scratch game for the Minnesota Lottery. Featuring Minnesota's state bird in a fall and winter setting, the game offers a top prize of $100,000. Cannon, known for his work in the Star Tribune, used his detailed, cozy style to create eye-catching artwork for the ticket, which is available at 3,000 retailers statewide.

Allwyn, under CEO Andria Vidler, aims to modernize the National Lottery with a focus on integrating artificial intelligence. Vidler highlighted that the typical player has aged, and the current digital experience needs improvement. AI will be used to offer personalized insights on how lottery funds support local causes and to enhance the digital interface. Additionally, Allwyn plans to introduce new products, such as innovative scratchcards. This strategy is part of Allwyn's broader effort to engage a younger audience and boost the lottery's appeal.

Allwyn is also sponsoring the U.S. debut of Refik Anadol’s A.I.-generated digital exhibition, Dvo?ák Dreams. Running from September 4 to 24, 2024, at the REACH Plaza of the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C., the exhibition is free. This marks the second year Allwyn has supported the international tour of the exhibit, which transforms Antonín Dvo?ák’s music into immersive visualizations using advanced algorithms. Allwyn’s involvement highlights its commitment to innovation and cultural initiatives.
