Newport leads the way in Wales

On Clean Air Day, Newport have now introduced 15 zero emission Yutong E12 buses into Wales, representing over 10% of their fleet.

Newport now have the first and largest fleet of electric buses in Wales. The project is a real push button solution, encompassing financing, solar energy, infrastructure and vehicles.

The partnership between Newport, Pelican and Zenobe has resulted in these state of the art vehicles being delivered. With air conditioning, WiFi, usb charging, market leading battery capacity and efficiency, these vehicles will make a fantastic addition to Newport’s passengers. The vehicles completed over 235 miles using only 55% energy during the delivery.

Newport have made a significant contribution to Clean Air Day in Newport and Wales with the introduction of these vehicles. We look forward to working in partnership with Scott and his team, now, and in the future.
