The Newenham community

Selling land and making sales targets is always invigorating and we are excited by the growth at Newenham with land flying out the door, however our greatest joy and reward comes from knowing we are growing and creating the most amazing community who care and support each other and have found true friendship and harmony in the place they now call home.

 We have 99% owner occupiers at Newenham, our residents have embraced our wellbeing philosophy and genuinely care for each other and the environment we are creating for them and with them! 

I am so blessed to receive genuine and unprompted thank you emails from our residents regularly which are always a welcomed surprise. The following is part of an email we received recently from one of our superb residents, Mark Agars. We have put our heart and soul in to making Newenham one of the best places to live in the Adelaide Hills and this vision is becoming a true reality…..

“Burke Urban has fostered a very unique community here, and it is very nice. Bronnie and I have lived in 4 places now since we have been married (40 years in December!) - The Esplanade Glenelg North, Happy Valley, Martindale Estate on the other side of Mt Barker and now Newenham Estate, and not once previously have we forged friendships with so many of our neighbours and fellow residents. Everyone seems to have a really community spirit, people look out for each other, and the kids seem to have that little bit of freedom because the parents feel there is that degree of safety here. Bronnie and I (and Sam, our youngest Son who we cannot seem to shake! Just kidding … ) are really happy with our choice to live here. Our garden is slowly coming together (fences are almost done, our bluestone walling is finished, we have engaged a turf layer to do the front and side, we are purchasing four advanced trees very soon and all the plants for the front), and our house is everything we hoped it would be - the Oakford Homes experience was extremely smooth!"
