“Tackling racial inequality not only saves money. It saves lives.”?

Just recently we welcome Professor Habib Naqvi MBE, Chief Executive at NHS Race & Health Observatory , to our #VoicesofCare podcast. Habib highlighted the Observatory’s work in addressing systemic racism in healthcare and fostering international collaboration to drive meaningful change by saying “Tackling racial inequality not only saves money. It saves lives.”?

This podcast has been widely acknowledged by peers in the sector with Karen Bonner MBE commenting; “Worth a listen ?? to understand why tackling #raceinequity #healthinequalties should be a priority ???? the data speaks for itself-thank you Professor Habib for always being the voice of reason.”?

“Is the NHS broken, or society fractured?”

This week we launched our newest episode of #VoicesofCare with Sarah Woolnough , CEO of The King’s Fund. One of her key quotes asked the question; “Is the NHS broken, or society fractured?” This comes from her experience of spending time in communities and patient groups across the country, and seeing first-hand the enormous pressures, along with social factors like cost of living, are putting on the NHS. View Sarah’s full episode in the video above.
