This year, an estimated 200 million people are expected to travel during the holiday from April 29th to May 3rd. The demand for travel has been enormous, with train tickets in Shanghai selling out and a record-breaking 120 million people and 50 million cars on the road. Many destination gate tickets have also sold out, reflecting the pent-up demand for travel. The tourism industry is eagerly anticipating a surge in tourists, but also grappling with the challenge of meeting increased demand with limited supply.
