#NYSDLDay2018 New York State Distance Learning Consortium-- Distance Learning Day was today! I presented in a video conference (Virtual Author) about my work surrounding empathy in my book "Jelly Beans the Cheetah and Hope." I was so honored to have presented/interacted with a classroom in New York state while many more classes logged into watch our interaction, as it was happening. I am so happy that the teachers and students found value. I was told they expressed they liked the program and exchange, in an email. I was humbled to learn they called it "excellent." My intention was to support the teachers and students today. I was most impressed with the thoughtful questions the students had for me, the way they sang with me, learned greetings and participated in two activities seamlessly, to learn about the culture of the Barabaig Tribe. A sincere thank you to the teacher and her students I interacted with, Donna Farren who organized this all, those classes who joined, to observe. I understand many of you danced too, how cool is that!??
Feeling humbled...such a special day! Thank you! www.sissymarysue.org
