New York bar The Ainsworth coming to Midtown

The Tennessean - Upscale New York bar/restaurant The Ainsworth is headed to a $100 million-plus development in Midtown.

The restaurant plans to open at Buckingham Companies' Aertson Midtown, which will include 350 upscale apartments, a 180-room hotel and 40,000 square feet of retail space.

“This diverse assortment of retail offerings will create a special sense of community for residents and visitors at Aertson Midtown,” Scott Travis, senior vice president of development for Buckingham Companies, said in a statement. “We are delighted to welcome The Ainsworth and know that all Nashvillians will enjoy its delicious food, together with the friendly atmosphere for which it is widely known.”

Residents will begin moving into the apartments in mid-May with some of the retail tenants slated to open in early summer, according to a media release.

Other tenants at the development include Henley, a modern American brasserie; Caviar & Bananas, a gourmet market and cafe; Nada, a modern Mexican eatery; Suntrust Bank; and Woodhouse Day Spa. One retail space remains at just over 4,000 square feet.

Menu specifics and prices for The Ainsworth Nashville aren't yet available, but a menu for a location in New York has a small plates section, including grilled vegetable focaccia pizza, lemon artichokes and beef sliders; salads such as a cobb, Mediterranean and Caesar; gourmet burgers; sandwiches; meat entrees including filet and lemon chicken; and Mexican-inspired dishes.
