Let's talk about New Year's Resolutions and Goals for 2022.
Are you tired of the same old boring New Year's Resolutions? Studies have shown that approximately 80% of ?New Year's Resolutions fail and most people give up on them mid-January. No surprises here.
You might have the best intentions when you set them, yet the energy and enthusiasm die down pretty quickly. Does this sound familiar?
The truth is, most resolutions' failures don't stem from a lack of willpower or effort like most of us may think. They fail because people shouldn't have started them on January 1st in first place. When you are excited to launch our resolutions on January 1st, you are making a change simply based on a calendar date when you think you are prepared to change your lives rather than on your actual reality.
Let's be honest - what are the chances that you're going to be ready and roaring for action at exactly the same time the calendar rolls over to a new year? Slim to none, I'd say.

Personally I prefer not to make New Year's Resolutions and instead just review and reflect upon my end of year results, what I am most proud of, what I'd like to improve on and then I set some intentions for the next year and make some key decisions on what I want to expand on regarding my focus, energy, time and financial investment, for the next year. This is when it's time to set some GOALS.
I believe this is a more efficient way to approach the new year instead of setting yourself for a failure and disappointment with unrealistic and unhelpful New Year's resolutions. Would you agree?

Why goals are important?
Goals are internal representations of our desired states or outcomes. Being goal-less is likely to lead to a feeling of under achievement and being adrift in this world.
In most cases, we struggle to achieve our goals not because of our efforts but because how it is structured, framed and timed. As a rule, goals that set you to fail are unrealistically ambitious or unambitious or not challenging enough.?And as a rule you lack processes to support these goals.

Explicit, specific goals lead to a greater likelihood of success. Studies have found that developing goals helps a person to enhance motivation and remain focused on tasks or particular issues that need addressing both personal and/or work-related.?
It is also recommended you always aim for a goal which is inspirational to you, positively framed and challenging – a real stretch to achieve the best you can.

Now, let’s check how motivated you are to hit the ground running in 2022 and assess your motivation using RICs scale. Ask yourself the following questions and rate them on the scale of 1-10, where 1 is low and 10 is high:?
If you answered 5 and below in any of these questions, that's where the problem is so look in that directions and start asking yourself some questions like 'what would 7 score look like? why is it only 5? what is blocking my progress?'.?
