Representation is a way of life for Priyal. Reflecting on her undergraduate studies, where women made up only a fraction of her computer science class, she recognizes the barriers many face.?
“Representation goes beyond simply hiring; it’s about providing equal pay, opportunities for growth, and a seat at the decision-making table.” Priyal says.??
Priyal’s message to women, particularly those from underrepresented communities entering tech, is a call to action: “You’re already one step ahead just by taking that first step.” She emphasizes that what sets you apart is your unique perspective—your power to innovate lies in your differences.?
“Make the most of every opportunity—networking events, mentorship programs, even just asking questions,” Priyal advises. “Tech is always evolving, and a growth mindset will help you thrive.”?
Quoting Sheryl Sandberg, Priyal reminds others, “In the future, there will be no female leaders. There will just be leaders.” It’s a sentiment that fuels her own journey and reflects her belief that gender or background should never limit one’s ability to lead, innovate, and leave a lasting impact. And a reminder that one day, women leadership will just be leadership.?
Priyal’s vision for the future extends beyond her own success; she’s driven to create a tech industry where everyone can get their foot in the door. Through mentorship, advocacy, and leadership, she’s on a roll inspiring others to break barriers and embrace their unique perspectives.?
“Success is more meaningful when shared,” Priyal reflects. Her ultimate goal? “To leave an impact on the tech industry by fostering inclusivity, empowering others, and paying forward the opportunities I’ve been fortunate to receive.”?
