New Year. Things to do... Get Employed!

So that's the festivities over for another year, good thing too, it's time to get back to business and get working! Happy New Year to All!

Just back from a positive morning catchup with friend and Client Services manager Kennet Hansen, Of OG-S A.S - Connecting the pipeline between talent and opportunities in the Norwegian Oil and Gas Industry. Some great advice on how to stay relevant and findable in a very saturated market place.

Five months of unemployment gets to you - anybody in my position will tell you that. You have good and bad days... It's kinda like being dumped by your girlfriend! Fortunately (or unfortunately) enough, as a 29 year old single man - I can relate to both of these scenarios! If you lay down and feel sorry for yourself in times like these, you're not going to get anywhere are you? No.

I'm sitting here typing this from my apartment in Stavanger and thinking "What Next?" in a negative fashion. But also "What Next?" in a positive fashion, I've got my health, I've got my friends and family... and I know that my next opportunity could be anywhere in the world, in any industry... and could potentially be from one of you reading this. So what have I got to be down about (Bank balance aside!)... Absolutely nothing!

My background is as a Draughtsman/Designer in the Oil and Gas Industry - and it's my passion... It's introduced me to some of the most amazing people i've ever met and brought me to a place I consider home now... and I love it. However, forget my background, industry and experience - If it's a confident, hard working, passionate, trustworthy and adaptable individual with 360 degree thinking you're looking for - You've found your guy - I'm a solid investment... and I could be standing in front of you tomorrow if that's what you need.
