New Year, Same Newsletter... Kind Of!

Times are changing and I think my gut is telling me that it's for the better!

Welcome to the new (previously, Slick Talk Weekly) and improved newsletter, The Hospitality Audio Report! Instead of only posting my content and podcast episodes, I figure it was worth rebranding the newsletter to include our other podcasts within Hospitality.FM as well.

This has been such a great platform so we figured to use it to our advantage. We will have something in here for everyone! From Hotels, Vacation Rentals, Cafe Podcasts, and more - this will be your best resource (on top of the Hospitality.FM website) for all of your favorite industry related podcasts.

Good Morning Hospitality

Industry news and broadcasting from Good Morning Hospitality was on a break due to the holidays but we're excited to get back on air this coming Monday, January 9th! Brandreth Canaley , Michael Goldin , and myself (Wil) have been keeping our eyes on things happening over the holidays and will have a packed episode for you all! Until then, you should listen to our last episode of 2022 with the one and only, Jamie Lane from AirDNA .

Slick Talk: The Hospitality Podcast

Even though GMH took a little break from live broadcasting, Slick Talk kept things rolling as usual!

We're thankful for our sponsors who support the show because we just hit two years of full time podcasting! I took the leap of faith in 2019 to quit my salaried job as a hotel manager to pursue the podcast full time on December 27th, 2019 and couldn't thank all of you who have supported and listened to the show in order for me to go all-in!

During the holidays, we had two episodes publish. One was with Eric R. Broughton , CEO of OK2Charge and the other one come out today with Tori Bolt who started Bolt Farm Treehouse with her husband, Seth!

These episodes were so much fun to record and both completely different in their own awesome ways! I hope you enjoy them too and if you do (or don't) then please let us know how we can improve the show by filling out this survey!

Starting 2023 On The Right Foot ??

Some of you may have seen that we have created and launched our first Hospitality.FM Original called, Vacation Rental Micro-School. A daily series of 20 bite-sized episodes designed to help newer operators understand the vacation rental industry just a little better than most of us did when we first got exposed to the VRM "itch."

Season One is themed "The 101 of Vacation Rentals" with guest experts like Natalie Palmer, Justin Ford , Heather Bayer , and Andrew Kitchell who drop expert knowledge for a whole week based on their own themes!

I'd like to say that this wasn't easy to pull off but after having three episodes published already, it was totally worth it. We've already received some high interest in a second season and have met some new listeners via social media that discovered the show.

This was all made possible by the collaborations of the experts that joined us and for Breezeway sponsoring the whole season. Thank you all for what you do to better others!

Other Shows To ??

Andy Jones joined the network back in our early days, shortly after we had announced the launch of HFM and has been killing it since. His show, Velo Leadership has been consistently publishing multiple high-level episodes a week and bringing the best conversations to cafe operators and owners.

Here is a recent episode from Andy.

Now this dynamic duo joined us back in June of 2022 and are very impressive when it comes to their own journeys and the podcast that they curate for all the event planners and executors in the world. Mary Davidson & Logan Clements bring unique insights to their conversations on the Better Events Podcast and let's just say I am blown away by this high paced business after co-hosting the Book Direct Show in October.

These two are ones to follow and connect with in 2023!

A quick stat for all you to know but HFM has over 30 episodes being published weekly! ?? That's obviously way too many to publish in this Audio Report but just know that there is something out there for everyone and it's going to continue to grow!
