We made it! A new year is here, and with it comes a renewed energy to show up, show out, and keep giving you the best I’ve got. Turning 46 in a few weeks has me reflecting on how far I’ve come. From winning six national business & two local awards this past year to holding onto the relationships that keep me grounded, 2024 proved to me that success isn’t merely results—but rather heart, connection, and consistency.
Let me tell you, when I say I’m giving you the best I’ve got, I mean it in every sense. I don’t just deliver fire pitches or dominate stages. I bring my all to every interaction, whether it’s a keynote, a training session, or even a moment with a friend.
When a dear friend recently underwent spinal surgery, being there for her wasn’t even a question in my mind. Sitting in that hospital waiting room, supporting her in person, reminded me of the simple power of presence. In a world where convenience often replaces connection, I will continue doubling down on my relationships, both personally and professionally. That’s the secret to winning. Real connection never goes out of style!
From the national stages I’ve been fortunate enough to grace, to selling out my books at conferences, like the Virginia Minority Business Council Fall Conference, I can confidently say this: success isn’t a popularity contest. Success comes from showing up, staying consistent, and making BOLD moves. No win or award is mine alone. There is power in authentic connection.?
If 45 showed me anything, it’s that there’s no limit to what can happen when you step out in faith and lead with intention. Turning 46 is my reminder to keep showing up boldly, to keep building meaningful connections, and to keep giving you the best I’ve got. This year, I’m doubling down on giving my community everything I can, because I know what it feels like to go it alone. That’s why I’m here. To remind you that you don’t have to.
