At the start of a new year, we celebrate another chance, another opportunity to begin anew - to be or do something different to make our existence / life this side of heaven more satisfying, more fulfilling.
“But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.” -Matthew 19:26 KJV
This new year marks my 20th anniversary as a full-time business owner. What an amazing accomplishment. While entrepreneurship has been no crystal stair, I wouldn’t change a thing. Lots of blood, sweat and tears for the journey. Could I have done things better, YES. Lessons learned - absolutely. Have I wanted to quit/close shop and get a job - for sure. Some days it’s just hard. Do I really want to continue working so hard yet my bank account doesn’t reflect the effort? Long sigh. Believing I could, so I did. This is my truth.
I was reminded — as my husband was praying for us — for God’s peace to rest my mind and comfort my weary soul.
“And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” — Philippians 4:7 KJV

Peace, in Hebrew, means nothing missing, nothing broken. Endless possibilities abound when our hearts and minds are at peace. Peace allows us to think clearly - to see the bigger picture with laser focus. Peace should be at the very center of everything we do. If there’s no peace, there can’t be opportunity. You must quiet your mind to hear from within the best way to move forward in every situation. Peace is intrinsically at the heart of having a purpose-filled life.
Walk into 2023 with peace as a mindset. Begin each day with peace as your goal. Launch your POS — peace operating system. Pray that nothing is missing or broken in you and in your interactions with others. Be the peace-maker, the one people come to for sound, reasonable counsel. Respect comes with peace. Promotion comes from peace. The greatest commandment of loving others as yourself can only come from a position of peace.
Approach this new year with peace as your guide. Set an intention that peace is an integral ritual of your daily self care. Endless possibilities will surely follow. Write me. Share your thoughts. Love to hear how embracing peace as your mindset opens doors of opportunity for you this year.
