Ah yes, it’s that time of year again – everything is new, and people are ready to go out and be their new self.? Gyms are full, yoga studios are crammed and my personal favorite: dry January!
It’s common to be swept up in the tide of resolutions, self-improvement goals, and the appeal of a fresh start. New Year, New You! What would happen if we took a moment to appreciate the timeless brilliance of Old You? The person who faced challenges, celebrated victories, and navigated the complexities of life (or just 2023?). ?When the clock struck midnight, that old you was just as good as it was before – perhaps even better.
1. Growth and Resilience:
Old You has weathered storms, learned from mistakes, and emerged stronger. Each trial and tribulation has been a steppingstone, contributing to your growth and resilience. Embrace the wisdom gained from overcoming obstacles, as it has sculpted the person you are today.
2. Achievements and Milestones:
Take some time to reflect on the achievements and milestones that have pebbled the path of your journey. Whether big or small, they showcase your capabilities and determination. Old You set goals, pursued dreams, and made significant strides. Acknowledge these accomplishments as a testament to your unwavering commitment.
3. Unwavering Core Values:
In the hustle and bustle of life, it's easy to lose sight of the core values that define us. Old You, however, has remained anchored to these principles. Whether it's integrity, kindness, or perseverance, these values have been a guiding light through the years. Hold onto them as you step into the new year.
4. Cherished Relationships:
Consider the relationships that have enriched your life. Old You fostered connections, built bridges, and formed bonds that withstood the test of time. These relationships are a testament to your ability to nurture and value the people who matter most. Carry this sense of connection into the new year.

5. Lessons Learned:
Life is a continuous learning process; Old You has amassed a wealth of experiences. Every challenge brought with it a lesson, every failure an opportunity for growth. Take these lessons forward, allowing them to shape your future decisions and actions. The wisdom gained is an asset and it is yours alone!
As you embark on the journey of a new year, don't be too quick to discard Old You. Embrace the strength, wisdom, and character that have been forged through experiences. The canvas of your life is a masterpiece in progress, and Old You is an integral part of this evolving artwork. Celebrate the continuity of your journey, appreciating that Old You is not a relic but a foundation for the extraordinary chapters yet to be written.
Cheers to the timeless brilliance of you!
With Energy,
