I was traveling across the UK and reached Europe on the morning of 31st December. My Hungarian buddy was holding a tiny party at his place to celebrate the new year and had invited me over.
So after a full-time day of sightseeing, I reached his place at around 9 pm. Faith in me, his place was completely breathtaking! It was very modern and big. He even had disco lights in the house. He had also invited many of his Europe buds to the party. I was the only non-Hungarian present.
It was an awesome party. I became very good buds with all the other European there. We chatted, laughed, ate, and danced till night. A few seconds before midnight, we went outside to the balcony.
At the stroke of the midnight hour, the sky was filled up with firecrackers.?So many firecrackers all around. We could see the Budapest castle shining brightly due to all the colors and lighting. We opened a bottle of champagne and begin celebrating.
At around 1.30 night, I went to the washroom and fell asleep there. It was not intended, but I was extremely tired after all the sightseeing and traveling. My European friend knocked on the washroom door at 3.30 and woke me up.
I had to catch a train to European at 5 am. The station was around 45 minutes from my bud's place by train and 2 hours on foot. I had less than 1.5 hours. Considering that it was a new place and it was pitch dark, I couldn’t find the train. As a result,?I began running towards the station.
It was dark and extremely quite cold. I just followed the directions given by Maps and ran as fast as I could, hoping to reach the station on time.
I somehow made it to the station just a couple of minutes before 5 am. I boarded the train, searched for my seat, and slept as soon as I sat down. I slept all the pathway to Croatia.
Although I have never experienced a celebration of New Year this year it was something I never dreamt of. We generally have a very small spectrum of thinking. Currently, I am sitting in the ICU ward as an attendant. We have so many complaints about our lives as we never give a thought to stuff with a broader mindset. Staying in ICU for the last 7 days has taught me some harsh life lessons which I wouldn't have learned otherwise.
Medical staff is still on duty, checking on patients. They don't have the advantage to go out and celebrate the new year like us. They can't go out to parties and don't have off on New Year.

The clock ticked and the staff just wished each other. I went to their place and wished them. I appreciated them for being on duty at this point too. Some of them got calls from their friends and family and within minutes they were again back to their work.
Earlier I utilized to feel rough sometimes for not being able to be a part of a big New year celebration but this time I am not feeling anything like that. I am glad that I experienced this too and I will now be able to relate to people's issues in a better manner.
Therefore, it is no surprise that people need to celebrate the beginning of the New Year with joyful celebrations with their loved ones.
This is what love about the New Year celebrations is. It is a modern form of a festival that has become a ritual performed by the urban zones in particular.
The fact that New Year is usually the last day before returning to work, humans try extra hard to enjoy the festivities. Often kids are instructed to report their experiences and present the same when the school reopens after the winter holidays.
This is a time of the year to mend old broken bridges and forgive past errors of the passing year. It provides a new chance for forgiveness and gratitude.
Many humans also form New Year resolutions as possible milestones to reach in the upcoming year. They need to translate their excitement and energy into new goals and outcomes and refine their efforts to become better at different things, both professionally and personally.

We pop fireworks, my mother will be in the kitchen cooking and some of my family people will come over and we have an amazing time with the family. That New Year’s night was different though, my mother and I rushed to the E.R as my kidney was failing. That was one of the most painful situations I had ever had in my whole lifecycle. Everyone panicked as I told them. Don’t forget that it’s New Year’s and who would need to spend their New Year’s in the hospital. We were going to pop fireworks at midnight and I was so excited as that’s one of my favorite methods to do and I simply love popping them. Simply the amazing view of seeing the beautiful colors of the fireworks when they pop in the air. I genuinely wish this never happened to me, but I am glad it did as I feel peoples’ pain and how short the lifecycle is. I never understand that I could have died from one of my failures, the pain I felt was so unimaginable. The horrible pain came at least three weeks before New Year’s.
