a new year, a new era

The past 5 years with RGA have been great. Filled with friendships, & too many air miles to count. Starting in Toronto, and having worked with nearly all of our 25+ local offices, to joining the austere group to help formulate (and then startup) RGAX. I and am now more confident than ever that the now more than 400 comrades, and our dozens of entrepreneur-led partnerships will continue to guide the transformation of the #insurance industry. 

RGA has assembled the deepest bench of thoughtful life & health risk takers in the world. And there are too many people to thank including:

• All of the local offices that generously shared insights and intel that deepened my global perspective on product development,
• The cross-functional team that were instrumental in launching Greenhouse Insurance
• And, all of the sage mentors who accelerated my personal growth and convinced me to move from Toronto to St. Louis three and a half years ago. 

Like all great things, there comes a point in time to transition towards new opportunities. Thus for my wife and I, this new year brings about a new era. 

Most importantly welcoming our first child (a baby girl) this month! I'm looking forward to ramping up my efforts in advising & angel investing in #insurtech, #eldertech startups, and partnering with capital providers and thoughts leaders. And to top it off we will be relocating our family to a new city later this spring. 

Here’s to what I’m sure will be a great 2019; reconnecting with old friends, deepening existing bonds, and establishing new relationships.
