iFX EXPO: What do you think will be the highlight of this discussion and why should the audience attend it??

Tobias Bauer (Blockchain Founders Fund): The regulation and mainstream adoption of #Web3technologies are inevitable and the question is not if it will happen but when. The opportunities are endless in every landscape, it's just a matter of time until we start seeing real-life applications used more frequently in our daily lives than ever before. It's an exciting road for #blockchain technology. The audience should definitely attend for invaluable insights on the road to a #web3 new world order.

Carney Mak (FXHB Asset Management): We are preparing for the next phenomenon after the dot.com era - Blockchain Technology. Until crypto moves from just trading to businesses and services being run on it, we're still early. As the numbers of the #decentralised community grows larger, how are companies trying to stay relevant in this space?

Vinay Trivedi (SGX MaxxTrader Systems): As a concept, we would all agree, that Web3 is the future of the internet. It allows users to be the owner, rather than the ‘product’ for current Web2 big tech companies. Web3 promises to transform the experience of being online as dramatically as in the good old days' PCs and smartphones did. There is a big potential upside in the space of decentralised finance and tokenized economy. On the flip side, there is still a long road ahead. The industry is going through a lean patch after the recent downturn, so we, as a fraternity, need to create more awareness and have some very solid successful early business ideas to build the trust of more users, companies, and investors to take a deep dive in this space.

Tobias Bauer (Blockchain Founders Fund):I'm looking forward to connecting with amazing people in the industry. It's always exciting to hear new insights. There's always so much to learn in this fast-paced ever-changing industry.

Carney Mak (FXHB Asset Management): Catching up with friends while making new contacts in the industry, Getting more insights and updates on exciting developments.

Vinay Trivedi (SGX MaxxTrader Systems): Good to be back to the in-person iFX EXPO event in Asia. So I am looking forward to meeting our partners, clients, and future prospects. As always, there is a very good lineup of panel discussions and focused sessions, so I am also looking forward to learning from our industry peers and getting some new insights.

Carney Mak (FXHB Asset Management): I head the fintech investments for FXHB Asset Management, oversea a fund that is deployed into strategic cryptocurrency related venture and also hold a role as the Commercial Director in Mitrade, in which I am responsible for expanding the company's geographic reach and establishing Mitrade to be a leading Forex and OTC derivatives trading platform.

MaxxTrader is a leading enterprise solution provider for FX & Digital Asset trading serving top-tier banks, brokers, and hedge funds across 45+ countries. We bring 20 years of multi-asset trading solution experience and know-how to the digital asset space. As part of the SGX group, we want to grow our presence in the Digital Asset ecosystem organically and in-organically. We aim to seamlessly merge so-called ‘Crypto Native’ and ‘Trad-Fi’ domains. So we are here to network with some of our existing strategic partners and also explore upcoming new business ideas and ventures.
