New work for Stetson - the hard working mother-daughter duo behind Skagit River Ranch / Washington State

One of the absolute favorite parts of my job is meeting new people and learning a little bit about what makes their world go'round. I spent a rainy spring afternoon at the Skagit River Ranch in Sedro-Wolley, Washington to learn a little bit more about Nicole and Eiko's renowned organic wagyu beef operation and get a behind the scenes tour of their beautiful green pastures. I try and stay true to my rule of only buying local if I do buy beef, not only because I feel it's important to know where your food comes from, but also because I strongly believe in supporting small ranches and farmers in the US. The ranch also raises pork and sells farm fresh eggs in their farm store.
