A new work by Kathryn Arnold
I’m working with artwork images to upload to my website and as I do, I am sharing them! This one is titled ‘Auspicious Chain of Events” and is a 36 x 72″ oil on canvas painting. I am working with these candy-lime greens and their relationship to other surrounding colors such as blues and oranges and lemon-yellows. My paintings tie into some of the ideas of the color-field painters. This one is built up with translucent and opaque layers of paint. It is non-objective meaning not based on objects that one can see and touch.
