?? What if your business isn’t overwhelming because you’re doing too much—but because you’re not doing the right things?
Since launching my business in 2017, I’ve watched so many talented entrepreneurs burn out—not because they weren’t good enough or working hard enough. In fact, I’ve seen some of the most brilliant minds give everything they have… and still feel like they’re stuck in quicksand.
?? The truth? Businesses don’t fail because of a lack of effort. They fail because they aren’t built to last.
Your brand is more than a logo. It’s the foundation of everything—your cash flow, your lead generation, your offers, your messaging, and your ability to show up consistently. If those pieces aren’t strong, you’re constantly spinning your wheels.
And I don’t know about you, but I’m done with businesses that drain us instead of fuel us.
So today, let’s flip the script. Let’s talk about what it actually looks like to nourish your business in a way that supports not just your bottom line but your energy, creativity, and impact.
Because let’s be real—we didn’t start our businesses just to hustle until we drop.
Instead of the never-ending push for more, let’s build businesses that operate like ecosystems—where we grow, replenish, and sustain, just like nature intended.
A New Way to Grow Your Business
I developed the Origin Stories? Methodology as a four-phase approach to building a business that creates impact and income—without burning you out.
?? The Four Phases:
1?? Spark – The moment your vision takes root. 2?? Embody – When your brand and business start taking shape. 3?? Nourish – The phase where you cultivate sustainable growth. 4?? Claim – When you step into visibility, impact, and abundance.
Right now, we’re focusing on Nourish—because this is where most entrepreneurs either scale successfully or hit a wall.
Here are three simple but powerful ways you can start nourishing your business today.
1. Know Your Season?
Not every season is a harvest.
One of the biggest mistakes I see entrepreneurs make is expecting their business to operate in full bloom all the time. But nature doesn’t work like that—so why should we?
If things feel stuck right now, you might not need a new marketing strategy or a rebrand. Maybe you just need to pause and ask:
Your business mirrors you. If you’re pushing hard but feeling depleted, your business will reflect that energy.
Key takeaway: Growth isn’t always about doing more. Sometimes, it’s about allowing space for clarity and alignment.
2. Redefine Your Relationship with Money?
What if money wasn’t just something to chase—but something to steward?

A few years ago, I learned about Ayni, an indigenous concept of reciprocity. It’s the belief that when we give with an open heart, we create balance between receiving and giving.
So I started an abundance account in my business—separate from my profit, operations, and taxes. Every month, a percentage of my revenue goes into this account, specifically to give back.
Here’s what I found: ? The more I gave, the more my business grew. ? I felt less scarcity and more alignment. ? I made business decisions from abundance instead of fear.
?? Try this: Open a small abundance account (even if it’s just a tiny percentage of revenue) and commit to giving in a way that aligns with your values. Watch how it shifts your mindset.
3. Build the Right Support System?
Let’s talk about something that doesn’t get discussed enough—you can’t build a thriving business if you’re doing it all alone.
For years, I believed I had to be everything. The CEO, the marketer, the caregiver, the household manager. I thought that working from home meant I should be able to juggle it all.
It was exhausting. And I don’t care what any business guru says—you don’t have to do it all to be successful.
When I finally brought in the right support—both in my business and at home—everything changed. My creativity flourished. My business grew. And I finally felt nourished instead of depleted.
Here’s what I want you to ask yourself:
?? Your business will not grow beyond your capacity to hold it. The more you invest in support, the more you expand your ability to scale without burnout.
The New Paradigm of Business
If we want businesses that last, we have to build them differently.
Nature already gave us the blueprint. It’s time to stop treating businesses like machines and start seeing them as living, breathing ecosystems.
And that brings me to one of my favorite quotes from Robin Wall Kimmerer in Braiding Sweetgrass:
“The most important thing each of us can know is our unique gift and how to use it in the world. Individuality is cherished and nurtured because, in order for the whole to flourish, each of us has to be strong in who we are and carry our gifts with conviction so they can be shared with others.”
So, I’ll leave you with this: What if your business was built in alignment with the life you actually want?
This is the work. This is the new way forward.
