A New Wave For Agile To Face, In Times Of Shift From In-Person Conversations To Pandemic Changes - Acting Smart And IMPROVEment For Betterment Series

Hello everybody,

Today was a very interesting day that made me take away a lot of moments through the day, but one topic that had kept ringing in my mind was how agile can rapidly increase an old system into a quick process that ends up carving a sharper path which allows for performance to always be on top.??

Being agile in today's workplace is the new trend. The workspaces open with accessibility to every colleague and cross-functional team. Basically, agile means breaking up complex problems in the smallest unit possible. This helps in finding solutions and implementing them effectively. The teams are available at arm's length, and phone calls are scarce. The resources tend to have more face-to-face interaction, hurdles, 15-minute stand-ups, and quick conversations to resolve risks and issues. The teams adapt to changes quickly within time box iterations for developing a working product. Agile is more prevalent in the software industry but extended to other organizations.?

Before 2020, agile was the way of life and operating within functional teams. It is supposed to be more faster, quicker, and efficient; while also bringing transparency. It enables quicker conversations, collaboration, and prioritization for various teams.??

Then COVID hit the world, the whole workforce went remote and changed the fate of agile from what it was before 2020 to how it operates in today's working industry. Agile principles and methodology took a nosedive as teams were not on the same floor or same building; so all huddles, scrum meetings, and stand-ups went online instead. Teams had to develop creative ways to stay agile and still be faster in solving problems and finding solutions to the smallest unit (which also go by the name of stories).

More processes and tools came into being for providing an improved interactive mechanism. Different forms of communication came into being with new platforms, such as MS Teams, Atlassian, Jabber, which changed the way groups interacted. Texting, video, video messaging became prevalent means of interaction.?

Adding to this chain also includes the increased usage of reactions, emojis, and GIF's, since the pandemic has changed the style of working virtually. Going virtual has brought in a new manner of working, but it is still tough to understand the emotion and feelings of the team members. It can be easily missed as there are no faces or reactions or body language that can help understand the real concern. It is challenging for new team members to ramp up in an organization and understand the technical know-how, process, and working methods. This required a lot of effort to catch up on new concepts and projects or contribute to the programs.?

To summarize, Teams have learned to adapt and develop new ways of agile working in order to be effective and fast. The stand-ups and huddles are more extended than before; it takes more phone calls to provide direction and guidance to team members; behaviors and feelings are unknown at times; especially making it tough for connecting and socializing.?

This comes with a vision of an agile manifesto in which developing better ways to create faster working software in today's generation starts with the initial steps of being at value towards change, interaction with its tools, working through documentation, and most importantly, collaboration.?

A lot of the time, we don't see ourselves using the agile methodology in both our personal life and professional career but we end up following it in the background without notice. By going through its chronological steps of developing, testing, deploying, reviewing, planning, designing, and finally launching each of the tasks we have in a day for accomplishing.

For all, its range of options that it provides from scrum, kanban, SAFe, DevOps, crystal methodology, extreme methodology, feature driven development, dynamic software development, and many other frameworks used in the world of Agile!?

Always remember that no matter what there is a way for doing it better if you can only find it through the means of research. Especially with change being incremental in every company's processes and structures that tend to change year in & out. But with additional change comes patience for giving it time to sync in with your employees, who are part of the team, so they can get used to the flow of delivering status updates on stand-up calls.

I am rooting for the best in all of us to figure out or at most change our approach on what, why, how, where, and when we would like to experience new challenges that will push our boundaries outside of what we were achieving before the pandemic. That will end up in starting a new era after COVID to set our intentions towards how we can run efficiently in a smart manner that's quick in terms of small steps to reach the pinnacle of a mountain similar to Everest. Eventually to, when the time is suitable for all of us!

Everyone gets opportunities ranging from small to big in life. It depends on how unproductive you are using your time to compare yourself with other individuals in the same competition as you. Sometimes, the best reflecting moments of figuring out what path we are going on come from writing, speaking, reading, and just searching what attracts us as the advertisement. You have to go above and beyond to see a potential that you didn't know lay ahead of yourself and the potential to open doors never before, as it's a part of your destiny!

Take charge for forming uncomfortable habits in starting but have lifelong effects towards finding a purpose of a path for you. Because if you don't take action, the universe will, and that also in unexpected ways that we as humans have never thought of before. You have to take the one percent of change and apply it towards making habits you keep looking forward to experiencing within your life. Be grateful every day to the universe and religion you follow for staying alive as a human each breathing second. Saying that I will make an impact is much more different than actively searching to find an opportunity where you are actually fulfilling that particular mission!

Be in the continuous loop of checking with yourself on what's one thing you want to accomplish to get set on walking the moon towards a route which will put you in the headspace of marching along that one direction in what might feel as centuries but only goes on till 37! Rhyme with confidence as if it's the last step for your greatest success yet!?If one slice of Pi or understanding its math symbol can make that sort of impact, then just imagine the type of change a person can bring to a world of stories that go sides of East, West, North, and South! The truth does not exist with simplicity attached to the end of it, but instead through a multiplication of errors that involve a series of confusing events to occur at its place. The tough times only make our characters become stronger and thick-skinned for facing the actual reality of events that come arising towards itself at moments which can turn into unexpected doubts.?

So which goes to say that if you have some habits that go from a range of reading, researching, or relooking more into a specific area or skillset just do it for getting to continually create that universal energy which will one day make that wish come true right in the midst of your eyes making it that might end up being to genuine for even just pinching yourself to get it out of this fairy tale dream of yours that has always been waiting to get fulfilled as the oasis of these times for coming ahead!?

It tells us the differences between swift ages and rapid paces on getting those do-it-now tasks done for figuring out those other ones that will be put into the bucket of entering a backlog. Agile helps in creating a happier us not to be daunted from tasks but streamlines our opening sentence in a subject of an email. By checking off the mandatory items on a single list and get going on it from carrying small stones along the way & communicating with your fellow teammates. So that you can get a better perspective on the problem, which will eventually turn out into a conclusion of solving the crossword puzzle with a solution in hand. All of this happened just from the source of positive energy flowing through your veins which allowed agile to help you carry a thousand pebbles that eventually became the equivalent to one gigantic piece of rock! Believe in good health, bringing the desired luck that will lead to wealth and many years for success ahead of you!?
