New Version Release: Alliedstar Intraoral Scanner Software Update Available

The Alliedstar Intraoral Scanner has received a powerful new software update, bringing a host of exciting enhancements to elevate your dental practice. Designed to boost efficiency and precision, this update ensures a smoother and more intuitive scanning experience.

ScanPro 1.0.34.2

New Features

1.? Added manual alignment of bites

Application Scenario: This feature is recommended when there is a failure of the auto-bite alignment or when the auto-bite alignment does not meet clinical expectations. Users can manually align the upper and lower arches by selecting specific points on the arches.

Manual Bites Alignment Logic: Select up to 3 points each on the upper and lower jaws, ensuring that the points match in position on both the arch areas and the blue occlusal area. For example, begin by choosing 2 points on the upper jaw (including 2 matching points in the blue occlusal area of the upper jaw) and 1 point on the lower jaw (including 1 matching point in the blue occlusal area of the lower jaw).

* Note: For manual alignment, it is sufficient to select no more than three points in a single jaw. Up to 6 points can be selected in total for both upper and lower jaws, clinicians can choose to align either the upper or lower jaws first, according to their personal practice.

2. Added dynamic bites scanning

• Acquire dynamic bites by first scanning static bites. Then, scan the lower jaw movement for various actions (protrusion, retrusion, laterotrusion, opening and closing of bites). The movement is displayed as a video, which can be played by pressing the play button. The final lower jaw movement trajectory can be exported in JAWMOTION file format.

3. Added quick locking during scan body scanning

• Hovering the mouse near the scan body area triggers a message "Click to lock this scan body region" and clicking near the area will lock the scan body. Clicking again unlocks it.

4. Added user-customizable scanning sound

• Support for adding the .wav format files as custom scanning sounds for the scanning process.

Optimizations

1.? Optimized the occlusal pressure adjustment function to improve the consistency of the bites scanning.

• Moved to Preference settings in ScanPro and now enabled by default.

2.? Optimized implant scanning workflow.

• After marking the implanting area and initiating the cut operation, the confirmation window is no longer appearing.

3.? Optimized the data quality of implant areas

• Resolved the issue of overlapping implant areas.

4.? Optimized soft tissue removal function

• The issue of certain dental models being incorrectly identified as intraoral during the scanning process has been resolved.?

5.? Optimized the margin line editing function

• Added a drag anchor to edit the margin line.

6.? Optimized wireless scanner charging reminder

• When scanning is complete, if the scanner is not placed in a charging holder that is connected to a power source, a pop-up box will appear saying ”Do you want to finish the case? “, and a message will appear saying “Your device's battery level is below 50%, please charge it as soon as possible".

7.? ScanPro automatically enforces Shining Surface scan mode during the scanning process for implant and preparation areas.

1.? Added a tooltip for selecting dental bridges when creating an order

• Added a tooltip for selecting dental bridges when creating an order, allowing for the selection of bridges for multiple neighboring teeth on the dental arch diagram.

2.? Added a button for quick access to the Support website

• A button ? for quick access to the Alliedstar support center is now available in the upper right corner of the interface.

3.? Added local storage folder detection and reminder

• When you launch AS Connect, it will identify the storage folder for the scanned data. If the path is not accessible, an error message will pop up to prompt you to change the location. The preferences window cannot be closed until you make the necessary modifications.

?4.? Added a medical license field on the order page

• The clinic logs in to the AS Connect website, navigate to Account > Users, then select the desired user's account. Click Edit and add a Medical License. Once the order is sent to the lab, the order details page will display the medical license information.

?5.? Enabled exporting margin line information to CARES Visual

• For export, it is essential that the tooth number chosen when creating the order matches the tooth number selected in ScanPro for adding the margin line.?

6.? Added 3D file format selection options for exporting Straumann XOrder

Optimizations

?1.?Optimized the logic of detecting graphics card drivers in Diagnostic Center

• Diagnostic Center is designed to monitor a computer's current condition. For example, if it detects an issue with the graphics card, a red exclamation mark will appear. Hovering the mouse cursor over this mark will display a detailed error message.?
