NEW Training and Volunteering Opportunities with VRCA

Our Workforce Development Department has been busy over the last few weeks, and are excited to share what we've been planning for you! As we kick off the month of June, we're proud to bring you brand-new course content and volunteering opportunities to help you develop your skills and get involved with your local communities this summer. Featured Course: Bonding & Insurance Basics

FORMAT: Live online, Instructor-led seminars

WHEN: Wednesday, June 26, 2024 and Wednesday, July 17, 2024 from 10:00AM - 12:00PM

Improve your knowledge of risk management in construction projects and leave with a stronger understanding of common bonding and insurance requirements in tender and contract specifications. Project specific course of construction (builder’s risk) and wrap-up liability insurance will also be explained in detail. This session will touch on recent changes to the new CCDC2 2020 contract.

Get Involved: VRCA Career Sessions with School District 44

WHERE: Sutherland Secondary School, North Vancouver

WHEN: June 18 & 20, 2024 from 9:15AM - 3:00PM

With the help of our members, VRCA is committed to educating for the future through opportunities like Career Sessions. If you share our passion for helping students learn about careers in trades, we would love to hear from you!

Our next Career Session will be held during school hours from 9:15AM -1:05PM for morning blocks, and one afternoon class from 1:50 - 3:00PM.

Students range from grades 8 - 12, and each class has 25 - 30 students.
