The new Training “paradigm”

Training and education has changed in the UK, there is no longer a direct connection between Colleges & Training providers and the training budgets that are a major revenue stream.
No longer will business revenue and opportunities automatically come to Training organisations. Employer routed funding will irrevocably change the business model.
This means adult education training providers have to evolve to meet these new demands otherwise you will struggle to survive in a key stream of business.
The question adult education training providers need to be asking are “Does my website meet the requirements of commercial users or any of the other business to business (B2B) audiences?”
If the sites are geared only towards consumers (students) then it could pose serious problems to your imminent success.
A new website is crucial to the success of the adult education training providers Training Arm. Is your site fit for purpose?
Adult education training providers sites are also a business problem if:
- Applicants email the College directly
- Applicants contact the College directly by telephone for a free consultation.
- There is a redirect to other sites because you are breaking the user journey and creating a disconnect and distrust with customers
Through the website you need to;
- Engage with the all the audiences;
1. Commercial (Employers)
2. Apprenticeships (For people seeking to become apprentices and for the 3 delivery of apprenticeships for employers)
3. International and ESF markets, and Overseas Agents
- Start to meet Employers’ training needs and help potential apprentices find vacancies
- Demonstrate understanding and work with employers, showcase commercial work and apprenticeships
- Show understanding of your new customers’ needs and be able to create bespoke training for employers
- Support commercial activity to win through tenders, and bring in International work
Here at Panlogic we worked with the Skills Funding Agency delivering the Apprenticeships website for the last 8 years and worked with the SFA on content and service design for employer routed funding?—?we know the sector inside out. We have also worked with many colleges and educational providers to support their digital transformation, like WEA, Nuffield Foundation and Bromley College.
We have helped organisations like the Pensions & Life Time Saving Association and National Funding Scheme become more commercially minded and enabled them to generate the right traffic to the site and increase their revenues.
For your College Training arm business we can;
- Provide the Training Arm with a new functional website to help attract revenue
- Ensure the website has an enhanced user experience specifically designed for the four distinct markets (B2B)
- Support the Apprenticeship Levy and growth implementation through ‘levy calculator’ type functionality, video blogs, thought leadership articles, apprenticeship vacancy matching and recruitment, gamification etc
- Enable online payments for certain courses and bespoke training
- Implement mobile and tablet friendly versions of the website
- Reduce the support burden on the Contact Centre
