NEW TRACK IS NEARING COMPLETION AT ECOTECHNOPARK

The arsenal of SkyWay transport solutions is constantly growing. Attentive viewers could have already noticed on our videos a new element of the string transport infrastructure - arched supports for the rigid track structure.

?Now the erection of pillars for the new route at EcoTechnoPark is coming to an end, which means it’s time to tell briefly about it. “The exhibition sample of string communication systems No. 5” is the way SkyWay developers call this section of the track infrastructure developed for the United Arab Emirates and intended to perform the widest possible range of tasks within the most relevant targeted projects. After it is tested and “duplicated” in the United Arab Emirates, it will be used to traffic cargo and passenger samples of rolling stock. Moreover, the new route, as well as a truss string-rail overpass, already operating at EcoTechnoPark, is suitable for both mounted and suspended vehicles. 

“The fifth number” is suitable for vehicles of up to 50 tons. This track at EcoTechnoPark will be used to check unicont - a cargo vehicle intended for transportation of ISO containers. To this end, the track gage was increased to 2,000 millimeters and the height of supports was increased to 3,000 millimeters. Other new rolling stock novelties - mounted and suspended passenger and cargo modules for one and two rails - will also be run in on this route.
