If you are starting to search for a new job, it's important you can do so confidently knowing that connecting on LinkedIn is safe, secure, and simple. Today, I want to share more about new tools to safely guide you through your job search on LinkedIn every step of the way.?
Here are some recent updates:?
NEW – Verifications on Jobs
We'll now start to show verifications related to a job post, displaying verified information about a job poster, or their company. When you see verifications on job posts, that means there is information that has been verified as authentic by the job poster, LinkedIn or one of our partners. The verified information will show whether the poster is affiliated with an official company page, has verified their work email or workplace, or their government ID was verified through CLEAR.?
We’re showing these verifications to help you feel confident in your search and give recruiters the opportunity to build trust with potential candidates. Here is what that verification will look like:?
Verifications on job postings are just rolling out, and as we expand access to our free verification tools, you’ll see even more across the jobs you’re exploring. You can learn more about the verifications you might see on a job posting here. And be sure to also check out these tips for how to recognize and avoid suspicious job postings.?
Verifying account authenticity
On LinkedIn, when you show that you're the real you, you'll have an even greater chance of finding the professional opportunities that matter to you and your community. We recently shared some updates on how we’re verifying account authenticity. Just a few months back we added About this Profile overview, outlining when a profile was created and last updated, along with whether the member has verified a phone number and/or work email associated with their account.?

We also rolled out new free ways you can verify your identity, work email addresses and workplaces on LinkedIn. We’re excited to be partnering with industry leaders Microsoft Entra and CLEAR to help ensure that LinkedIn is your source for trusted, verified information.
Message Warnings?
We now also alert you if messages on LinkedIn include high-risk content that could impact your security. For example, we will alert you if a message asks you to take the conversation to another platform, as that can sometimes be a sign of a scam. If something doesn’t feel right, these warnings will also give you the choice to report the content without letting the sender know.?
Beyond some of the security features we now offer, if you’re just getting started on your job search today we also introduced the LinkedIn’s Career Starter Guide - a comprehensive overview for anyone starting in their career to find a job that is the right fit for them. From the fastest-growing industries to focus on, to tips on to navigate today’s rocky job market. Whether you are just looking for your first job, or if you are eager to shift roles and start something new, we encourage you to leverage this guide and other LinkedIn resources to help you jumpstart your job search.?
Stay tuned for more features and resources as we continue to help our members navigate their career journey on LinkedIn.?
And wishing you all the best - we’re rooting for you.

11 个月This is a step in the right direction, no doubt. It should be mandatory that any job posted have a verified profile connected to it, especially if it is free to post a job. The prevalence of "ghost jobs" and scammers has really become a headache for everyone who has been looking for jobs using any of the job sites. Additionally, in my opinion it should be mandatory to include the salary / wage. As all recent job seekers know by now, the application process is an investment of a person's time and energy when following the suggestion of tailoring one's resume for every application based on the keywords in the post. Seekers should not have to go to other sites to potentially find that information to determine if the application/opportunity is going to be worth their time as far as what they may anticipate earning if offered the job. That said, I appreciate LinkedIn attempting to address some of the problems inherent with the modern job hunting process.. so thank you for that.

1 年Question: Will the email verification work if you no longer work at the company, if the company still exists? I would imagine it would no longer be in their Exchange Server, so I'm thinking not, but wanted to verify before I try it.

1 年When is the feature being rolled out to job seekers like myself? This would be very helpful, especially for people who are doing some side hustles for the sake of making sure the person behind them isn't SPAM or some robot. ??

1 年Looking forward to using these tools Rohan Rajiv . Also would love to see improvements on the LinkedIn app. It’s ability is still very limited and without access to LinkedIn on the web one is restricted by what we can do on the app.
