A new TiVo: Introducing TiVo+

Twenty years ago TiVo changed the way people watched television forever. Today, we’re doing it again, with the launch of our new video network TiVo+. TiVo+ will be rolling out to TiVo customers over the next few weeks.
The streaming wars have given rise to numerous direct-to-consumer and over-the-top offerings, with new names popping up seemingly daily. Pay TV subscribers are cutting the cord, but live TV is still a very important part of the entertainment experience, with 65% of Americans watching over an hour on a regular basis. Over-the-top offerings are also taking hold like never before. In fact, the average household uses 7.2 entertainment services today - and many have even more. According to Nielsen, more than two-thirds of U.S. homes today have access to a subscription video on-demand service.
Navigating through the content chaos can be daunting. How do you simply find something you’ll love and start watching faster?
With TiVo+, we’ve made it easy for users to watch on their own terms, bringing live streaming channels, like Hell’s Kitchen, Unsolved Mysteries and other favorites, thousands of movies, and TV shows into an app-free environment. All delivered through the TiVo experience that millions of people around the world already know and love. TiVo+ makes entertainment easy to find and watch, providing a carefully curated selection of streaming entertainment seamlessly delivered alongside traditional television.
TiVo+ also creates an on-ramp for publishers and advertisers to find and engage with the passionate television audiences they want to reach. This creates new and valuable revenue opportunities for TiVo and its network of partners.
This is just one of a number of exciting new offerings you’ll be seeing from TiVo, as part of our broader ambition to bring back the joy of watching TV. In the coming months, we’ll be rolling out more innovative products and services, with the goal of more than doubling the 22 million households we already proudly serve.
