A NEW STAGE IN THE EVOLUTION OF WOMEN ENTREPRENEURS AND LEADERSHIP?!!

My own observation for Germany.
It's all in the culture and the atmosphere we are living in.
"In Germany, you can be the Bundeskanzlerin but not a well-funded multi-million dollar company ?! or raising your own fund to invest smartly and forward the skills and the knowledge you have?"
I'm thinking about my early days as a young female founder, In early 2000, the business world was still a close club for men. almost 15 years after and what we see today on a global level is no less than a revolution.
Why Germany is still so much behind? Education for women how to be successful (go big or go home!), to take ownership on their achievements, to be able to DreamBig while understanding the business world with a strong supportive network and community are keys to success. Women in decision-makers positions, women-investors, and an ecosystem(s) that reward these female founders and investors as role models/ winners.
In the last 20 years, I've been working with men and women, in different countries and cultures, at the beginning, it was important to build role models for other women to be able to be inspired and to follow- I believe this is still the stage that we are in Germany2020.
WANT to talk only about Europe? We (Germany) are still behind.
this is showing % of women directors and board members in the TOP 30 DAX companies in these markets (US, Sweden, UK, France, and Germany).
Today, when we see so many ladies are seating in top decision-makers positions (globally), women who are controlling the management level in banking (Israel), running their own super successful, unicorn businesses, (USA) raising their own fund to invest forward and pass forward their skills and knowledge to their portfolio, running to office (politics), First madam vice president is a big deal indeed for all women around the world.
What we see today as a very natural situation, women in the white house (USA) women successfully leading the biggest banks(Israel), Women are an equal partner in a billion dollars VCs/ funds, and in the supreme court (Israel and USA),
I'm still asking why it is so rare to not- existing in Germany?
(My) Few ideas why:
- The system and the culture educated them to think small and be secondary. It is serving well the men.
- Myth - 'Money is not for women', or even - playing with BIG money and take care of your own financial freedom is not for women (This is what I'm (amazingly) hearing from most of the founders/women in corp I know.
- 'Do not speak about success - it's impolite'. ( WHAT??)
- 'Mali - you think so big and global- wow' - they never left Germany to learn another culture and find out other mindsets and skillset.
- I heard women saying: "Quota? - I don't like it, I don't want to be selected because of my gender'. Quota: can get us much further but it's not the ultimate solution.
- Myth - "I do not know anyone who can help me".
I can continue with it but I believe you got the point. It's all culture and mindset. We are still lack of it here in Germany when women in leadership C-level in corporates and women entrepreneurs are still so rare and the attitude on this is not referring them as winners!
Let's stop making it a trend to talk about women's problems because these are mainly men's problems. I'm talking about these topics for the last 3 years, Now we are starting to see the start of the impact (in the German government, In the European Commission, In VCs, corporates, and company founders ).
Are you a man? read this:
- Do you want to invest in successful companies? data is showing that women are better managers and better salespeople - You're missing out on business opportunities here by not investing in women. Truly #FOMO become reality.
- Do you want your wife/daughter/mother NOT to live up to their full potential? this is precisely where you're taking them with this attitude of not having Role models in their lives and not promoting them in the workplace.
- You don't really believe women are less worthy? so why every action you take is showing it? (walk the talk.. start acting, stop talking)
Also on this, I can talk forever, in WLOUNGE we even have a movement for it -#ImAmagda for Making.Women.Business.Ready and it's mainly for the guys that are(still ) moving the needle in society, politics, and economy.
> It's a good time for reflection, 2020 was an interesting year, on the company level and on a personal level for me.
We grew! a lot! Thank god for it! It's not obvious. I learned who are the right ppl to place around me to double the power for achieving goals and mission and to pass it forward even clearer. I also learned what are my strength (and my weakness) and surround myself with the right ones.
On the personal level, now I know, even more than before, what are my values and goals and I'm letting this leading my way. Women investors, women founding fund Women in politics Women in Corporates C-level, women in FamilyOffices, women in Mittelstand, all come together to one and I'm so grateful to be working with them as my inner circle for my investment fund MAGDA GROUP (in the making) and for my superpower community I'm so thankful to WLOUNGE.
Both of these companies are feeding each other for the success of those who are part of it.

> During this year I've learned to react with humor for Awards that coming along the way, as the impact on people is the core goal and not the awards.
I decided to stop saying NO NO to every media who approached me because I want to talk about actual success and not only about vision (it easier to talk about the vision that it's still not achieved rather than bring a stamp of quality execution, that unfortunately, the majority are doing) 2021 will be the year of dancing with quality media to be able to help politicians and the good guys ( with us in our mission ) and women who are with us in this for touching a broader audience. StayTuned
#Global Hero??!!! This November some chosen to award me for being international and acting global - you know what? I take it! 2020 has shown me that this is my strength and not my weakness.
Working with so many cultures, see no-limit with growing and acting global is a huge value that the Berlin senate and corporations, also individuals showed me that is one of my great competence in the field I'm playing in. Raising the WLOUNGE Tech Gala Awards for rewarding the people behind the products and showing success stories while also providing unique access for investors, VCs, and corporates M&A to have more opportunities and knowledge for stepping in the ecosystem for more presence/opportunities/ investments. Combined perfectly with the main message/goal I took this year from my involvement in the European Commission EIC - we need more diversity, more impact, more female founders, more capital available for keeping the companies in EU and not losing them just before they need to raise a bigger tkt size/ need stronger skills for their global competition.
2021 will be 'bringing a solution-oriented' year. We've built a toolbox ( WDL) and programs, events and workshop, partnership and new services, supporting the government with PowerToWomen goals in the public and private sectors, women in business and politic, women-owned funds, HandsOn program to support women in any place and level to bring success stories together with FundRaising Leadership skills, Establishing your company, Negotiate, Raise your voice, Women supporting women culture is very much needed here - as we see in the US, Israel and other markets which are 'just' more progressive in this due to the fact they understand that YOU CAN'T BE THE ONLY WOMEN IN THE ROOM, What it says about you?
All these goodies happening thanks to our WLOUNGE partners and allies from Germany and all over the globe, from the biggest to the smallest organizations, VCs, startups.
